Funny via ferrata with a beautiful view! I did it with a friend who has never done a via ferrata before. Due to all the comments "for beginners" I thought it would be perfect for her. My opinion: not the best via ferrata for your first time because it is long and also very high. If you have done some before, go and enjoy it :)
You can rent via ferrata equipment for 15€/day at the place for zipline in Omiš (zipline croatia). At the beginning spot right behind the tunnel is a free parking opportunity (parking Omiš).

I made it in Ocotber 2023 and I did not see any broken things like someone posted a year ago. Seems to be repaired.

Exceptionally awesome for tracking.... Be careful on the hill ... It's quite steep.... Take enough water and some fruits....

The Omiš via ferrata was an unforgettable experience! Not too difficult and incredibly scenic, with breathtaking views throughout the climb. The cherry on top was the fully accessible ancient fortress at the summit!

Parking was easy right under the starting point, though it might get busier during the main season or later in the day. The start of the ascent to the protected part begins directly from the parking area below and may not be very visible, but it quickly becomes clear. Halfway through the ascent to the protected route, look for a blue arrow on one of the larger rocks on the ground and a blue "F" on the nearby wall.

Accessing the via ferrata start can be a bit tricky and vertical, so come prepared and well-equipped. Some sections don't have steel cables, but as long as you stay safe and avoid risky behavior near the edge of the wide rock slope, you'll be fine. The overall difficulty is beginner-friendly, just remember to take care.

If you plan to bring children along, make sure they're experienced, skilled, and well-disciplined to avoid risky situations. Safety always comes first!

The descent from the via ferrata and the fortress is also scenic and enjoyable. With the right precautions, you're in for an incredible time and a truly memorable experience at Omiš via ferrata. Don't miss out!

Beautiful via ferrata! Loved it so much!Hghly recommend for adventurous people like us!
So at first it was quite confusing where the start is, but after the first unsuccessful attempt to go to Stari grad we realised we are going on a hike and not the via ferrata🤣 Of course after this realisation, we had to go down to find the via ferrata sign just after the first tunnel. From that part, it was all clear where the path was leading, and we probably climbed to the top in about one 1 hour. Perhaps, it could be slightly more, because the view just makes you want to stop and take photos every few minutes. We got our own via ferrata sets, and I can say it wasn't difficult. However, it could be challenging for people who are scared of heights as you really go up quite high. All in all, it was safely built via ferrata and definitely worth some sweating! Just take lots of water and enjoy!

Beautiful via ferrat level B. I did it with my 7 years old daughter. We started at 5 pm and it took us almost 2 hours to reach the Stary grad. Most risky are the first tenths of meters before you reach start of the via ferrat. You can borrow equipment in close zip line shop for 15€/day/set.

Excellent, easy via ferrata, completed it within a hour, with plenty of photo stops. Chose the descent that ends up in Omis, it’s much more pleasant than the steep descent down to the car park where you start.

The via ferrata above Omiš is a rather new climbing site (from 2017). It starts at the bottom of Omiška Dinara mountain and climbs along its steep ridge to the fort called Fortica which overlooks Omiš. Ferrata is about 400 meters long and ascends for about 230 meters, difficulty level B (personal opinion). Its start is a bit secluded and can be reached by an unmarked, barely visible trail that starts next to the tunnel near the big parking lot. Rumor has it that markings were erased thanks to the inexperienced, tourist hikers who went there without proper footwear and equipment and had trouble. However, climbing along the ridge guarantees a good sense of alpinism and a spectacular view of Omiš city and river Cetina with the surrounding mountains.

Very well prepared ferrata. Beautiful view all the way up. Fortica at the top (ticket 20 kuna). Amazing panorama (Cetina river, Adriatic coastline and Hvar, Brac Islands). The trail starts just after 1st tunnel (photo) and it turns right and up, near fig tree. The path is marked by red dot with white middle. At the beginning signs are not visible well, as they are covered with grey paint (people were reaching it without equipment and proper shoes). There are 2 ways down back to town (easy and hard). Great trekking.

Very nice, rather easy via ferrata - good for beginers. It's difficult to find enterance - You have to follow the wide gravel path grom the south (visible on GPS) and at some moment You willa se on the right side the red sign (like graffiti) "F1". You have to follow this up, and after few meters of scrambling (without steel line) You will find another Red and yellow sign. It's good to start very early and take a lot of water. It was my first via ferrata, takes me about 2 hours (I was slow).

A great and easy ferrata. You can go in to the castle at the end of the ferrata.

Excellent experience even for beginners! The views are breathtaking. If you want to climb it in a hot day (like 35 deg Celsius) better be aware there is no shadow till the end, and the way can take up to 1,5h.

Milion schodów do pokonania, ale warto wejść i zobaczyć .Widoki ukoją zmęczenie.
Sama twierdza fantastyczna.
