What An Amazing Experience!! My wife and I traveled to Split for the first time and we were referred to Kastel Sikuli for a wine tasting. We decided on the 6 course tasting and pairing. Let me tell you, Ivan was an amazing host and his family and wife who were cooking the meals are nothing short of 5 star chefs!! The parings were perfect, the wine amazing, the ambiance and views breath taking. It was an afternoon we will never forget. Thank you Ivan and your family for a wonderful experience!

It’s a bit of a rocky drive to get up to the vineyard, but 100% worth it. Owned by a lovely family whose granddaughter can be seen playing around the vineyard and watering the flowers with her grandfather. Lovely wine to be tasted and purchased in an absolutely surreal setting with a view to die for. Beautiful winery in a beautiful country.

Peacfull and charming place with astonishing view of the Split bay. Owners (Ivan) knowledge of the food/wine and passion to share it was on the other level. Perfect place to spend evening in the Split area!

Our evening at Kastel Sikuli was amazing! Ivan was an outstanding host and Nina’s food was delicious. We highly recommend the five course pairing menu. Ivan does a great job introducing their winery and the wines that are paired along with talking about the winery, wine and regional history. Every course that Nina made was amazing and we thought they were paired perfectly with the wines. The intimate setting is located above Trogir with an incredible view. An absolutely perfect way to spend an evening and we look forward to returning. As a side note, they had no issues dealing with dietary restrictions.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kastel Sikuli, and I must say that it was an absolutely fantastic winery experience from start to finish. Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, this enchanting winery proved to be a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by our gracious host, Ivan. His passion for winemaking and genuine enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge made the entire experience truly memorable. Ivan's expertise and friendly demeanor created an inviting and educational atmosphere, where I felt comfortable asking questions and learning about the winemaking process.

Moreover, the culinary delights crafted by Nina in the kitchen were nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was a masterpiece, impeccably prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The flavors were exquisite, perfectly complementing the exceptional wines we sampled throughout the day. Nina's culinary skills were truly a highlight of the visit, and her creations elevated the overall experience to new heights.

As we explored the vineyard, we were captivated by the breathtaking views that unfolded before our eyes. The rolling hills, lush greenery, and meticulously maintained vines created a picturesque backdrop for our wine-tasting adventure. The beauty of the landscape was simply awe-inspiring, and it added an extra layer of magic to an already incredible day.

The wine itself was outstanding. The dedication to quality and craftsmanship was evident in every sip. From delicate whites to robust reds, each wine showcased the unique terroir of the region, delivering a sensory experience that was both delightful and enlightening. The passionate winemakers at Kastel Sikuli have truly mastered their craft, and their expertise shines through in every bottle.

Additionally, Ivan’s attention to detail and commitment to excellent service was noteworthy. attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to provide recommendations or answer any inquiries we had. His genuine passion for wine and commitment to ensuring a memorable experience for each guest truly set Kastel Sikuli apart.

Thanks,

This family run winery is an absolute gem tucked away up high on the hill overlooking Split and Kaštel. The food and wine pairings are perfect, focusing on local ingredients with many house-made offerings. You choose what you want in advance of arriving so there are no surprises. I suggest opting for vertical tastings to get a feel for how nicely their pošip and crljenak kaštelanski age. It is worth the experience. I will be returning. Plan on not driving afterwards…

Fantastic experience. Stunning view. The 3 Course dinner, which we had was on point. Pasta al dente. Lamb perfectly medium. Cuttlefish was tender an juicy. Perfectly paired with the different Croatian wines from this region. Thank you Ivan & team for this wonderful evening 🙂

We had a truly wonderful evening with the family who runs this winery, extremely welcoming hosts who went out of their way to make us feel as comfortable as possible right from the time we pulled up.
Father and son, Ivica and Ivan, were so knowledgeable and shared much interesting info about the history of this area and the local grape varieties. Nikolina, the chef, did an outstanding job creating a spectacular meal that we’ll remember for a long time to come.
Overall everything was fantastic from the breathtaking coastal views and the vineyard with the cities of Split and Kastela in the background to the wines and food quality- service was simply amazing!
Thank you, we’re looking forward to coming back:)

We had an incredible experience here. Ivan was so helpful in helping us find the place (google maps is not fully updated). The wine was excellent with a nice variety of tastes. And omg the food!! The chef was so creative yet simple with her dishes. We were blown away at the dining experience in addition to the wine, and most of all, the view. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing views of split, trogir and islands. Food and wine was the best we had in Croatia for the entire trip. Nice a cool setting even on one the hottest days of the year in Croatia. Our 19 month year old also loved the quiet atmosphere.

Amazing place! Came there on our way to the airport, in the evening, and without reservation. Asked for a wine tasting, were greeted with hospitality, served an appetizer (well, much ore than needed for two person!), and great wine! The winery is ran by a family and didn't use any hired worker, just the family and close friends. We had a great time, heard a lot about wine, and enjoyed food and, well, wine! Highly recommended!

PS
Reservations are highly encouraged

Our visit to Kastel Sikuli was undoubtedly one of the highlights from our trip. If you’re staying in or visiting the Split area, this is a must-make stop.

Kastel Sikuli is a true family-run establishment and, from the moment you arrive, we felt like close family friends. Ivan, the owner of the winery, was extremely responsive over email when we made a last minute reservation. He walked out to the car to greet us personally with a handshake when we arrived and he gave us a tour of the grounds where they’re currently building their new and larger wine making facility and restaurant.

Kastel Sikuli has a beautiful panoramic view over Spit and the surrounding area. To reach the winery requires an investment of driving up semi-paved, narrow roads that wind up the hillside. It's not your average road and you will question whether you're heading in the right direction or even whether it's even worth the effort to get there (oh yes, it is...).

The wines themselves are fantastic. Kastel Sikuli makes a Pošip (Dalmatian white wine), rosé , and Kaštelanski Crljenak (the *original* Zinfandel). Ivan will guide you through the history of the wines and the region. I guarantee you’ll learn more here than you will from most tour guides (plus you get to eat and drink while you do).

The food is equally as great as the wines and pairs beautifully. We actually came twice, once for a tasting and snacks and again the next night for the full tasting menu. Either way, you’ll have a wonderful experience, but the having dinner is well worth your time.

Anthony Bourdain said a quote after visiting Croatia and I believe it applies just as much to Kastel Sikuli specifically, “If you haven't been here, you're a f**** idiot.”

Thank you for a wonderful experience and conversations! We'll certainly be coming back as soon as we can.

An amazing experience from start to finish! The location is unique; the views are spectacular, and the food is both creative and unbelievably delicious. They also happen to produce WONDERFUL wine. 😁 Ivan is the consummate host - you will leave happy and probably with bottles of wine under your arm. Simply a must-do if you’re in the Kaštela area!

A great experience! Delicious wines and our host Ivan was so knowledgeable and engaging during our tasting. We were lucky to be able to walk in because they were expecting another party, but were assured if you arrive when no one is there you should just call the number on the door and they’ll open for you!
