Restoran Mlinski Kamen, a peaceful beautiful gem along the Kupa not far from Petrinja.

We visited all the way from Ventura California! After traveling for a few months and recently all over Albania, Montenegro and Croatia, this restaurant was like finding a diamond among trees, a river and trails. I loved sitting amongst farmlands and small villages.

Easy drive from Petrinja and also from Sisak or Zagreb areas!! Parking is free and spacious. I feel that the guests from Zagreb would really enjoy the country setting.

An outdoor deck with nice umbrellas and tables overlooks the River Kupa. The views are amazing!!

Inside the restaurant is a really nice wooden warm feeling restaurant. Even a fire was burning in the corner. This interior would be so nice for a large dinner party or even a wedding.

We were greeted by the nicest young woman. We made our decision to eat inside as it was chilly out on the deck. Even inside there is many nice large windows to enjoy the view of the river. Sitting by the warm fire was wonderful!

Our server, Kaja, was so nice! Though her English was not real strong she was completely helpful explaining the menu.

Our meals were perfect. Starting with a creamy mushroom soup and homemade bread. Then a green salad with the best feta cheese. Next came a large plate of grilled vegetables with added grilled potatoes. My husband also had an order of cevapi (the small order and it was huge!). All the menu items had VERY reasonable prices. This is definitely NOT an expensive restaurant. The value is very good.

Easy to eat as a vegetarian and even vegan here with the vegetable dishes and salads.

All foods were prepared with care and were perfect. We enjoyed everything we ordered. And to finish our yummy lunch, we had house-made Tiramisu. Oh my!!! It was so good.

We had a great anniversary meal at Mlinski Kamen. They have great Rostilj (BBQ meat). They also have pizza, which we didn't try. Nice atmosphere with a lovey view of the river and so much greenery. The servers were friendly and professional.

We had the platter for 2, which had more on it than listed in the menu. It included the meat, fries, bread, and salad. All of it was delicious.

Quiwt and peaceful atmosphere and landscape on the shores of green Kupa river, friendly service, affordable prices and tasty food (they bake their own bread which is just awesome). Recommendable. Just a stone's throw away from Zagreb.

Very friendly people, delicious food and desserts to die for in a relaxt atmosphere. To top it off a relaxt boat ride across the river. Beautiful place!

A super nice, rustic, place by the river. The food is very good and the portions are reasonable for a reasonable price. The restaurant can accommodate a lot of people so it is good for large groups. The surrounding is beautiful and gives opportunities for walks along the river. However, if you like to chill, the big deck is perfect and has a good view of the river bend. I'm pretty sure people can swim in the river during the summer. The only downside to the whole operation is the poorly organized staff that got lost a few times. But since they were super nice and we were very relaxed, it was not a big problem.

Boss is very nice, food is delicious , nature is beautifull, atmosphere is excellent.

Weekend family lunch is selfservice. Kids playground is nearby. Peaceful terrace by the river. Very good food and nice staff.
