Konoba Veliko Brdo

Nice restaurant on the side of the mountain in Veliko Brdo. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had the house specialty of beef stew with pasta noodles. The traditional recipe takes three days to cook and the flavour is out of this world! The waiter helped us choose wines by providing generous samples. Excellent traditional home-style food with very good service. After dinner we enjoyed the house rakija and cherry brandy. Staff speaks English for those who don't know Croatian.

By far the best place you can visit if you want to get out of the city, enjoy the finest couisine and drink local wine. The waiter is amazing, food is excellent and it’s near mountain Biokovo so it’s a bit colder on a summer night.
Best thing you can eat if you ask me is the dessert - figues with ice cream (in the picture).
The main course was eaten way before I can take pictures 🙃

The best food we have had so far in Croatia. The restaurant is very quiet and nice. Feels very genuine and the service was very friendly. We can really recommend this restaurant.

This place is just a hidden gem within the mountains of Makarska! The host is passionate about his food (especially the steaks which he showed us) and he was respectfull, extremely friendly and proffesional. If you ever come to Makarska you need to experience this place at least once.

Klein aber fein. Das Essen war immer mega lecker und die Bedienung super nett. Preis und Leistung stimmen hier absolut. Da wir uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt haben, waren wir auch mehrfach in unserem Urlaub dort. Meist haben wir kurz nach einem Ausflug dort gehalten und einen Tisch für den kommenden Abend reserviert, was auch nie ein Problem war. Auch für uns daher ein Geheimtipp.
