Restaurant Uskok

On our road trip towards Split, we decided to stay in town for a few days. It was a sunday on our first night here when most of the other places were closed and we went to look for a place to have a few drinks and food. Came across Uskok while walking and it was the best place we found during our whole stay! Beautiful view, exceptionally tasty food and well priced drinks. And most of all, the service was top notch.

All thanks goes to the wonderful lady who served us, Mladena. She spent a good while conversing with us in fluent english, took the time to answer questions we had, suggested places where to walk/visit. She was absolutely wonderful and if I could, I would rate the experience ten stars! I hope all the best for her. A million times, HUGE thank you! The same goes for the kitchen staff who made the food perfectly, steaming hot.

Overall, Uskok was a wonderful place to stay. From just having a cup of coffee in the morning, to conversing late outside with drinks and food. And despite the fact that there were more customers at one point or the other, the service was always fast and very attentive. I don't think we can ever drive past Senj without visiting here again!

The staff was very welcoming and full of advice ! The meal was delicious ! Try the ćevapi and the saint Peter fish !

Went here after a local apartment owner suggested it for me. The whole place is really nice, you can check the sunset from here. The serving was the cherry on the cake. We got appetizer as well. Definitely recommend to anyone!

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. We were guests in the appartments Josephine, which belonged to the same owner. We got free welcome drinks when we checked in and we later had dinner there. We got free dessert and on top of that a 10% discount on our bill because we were guests in the rooms.
The seafood dishes were delicious, but the meat was too salty for my liking (but I am pretty sure it’s the Croatian way of preparing meat). In all a great restaurant!

Great restaurant, tasty food, big portions. Fried calamari are top. Uskok meat plate for 2 is actually big and would be good for 3. You can meet the sunset from there, view is amazing. They accept credit cards.

It was definitely worth stopping here. The waitress was nice, warm and polite. The food was excellent, affordable and I warmly recommend to visit this place.

Good place to eat at sunset in Senj. Close to the little port, the terrace allows you a beautiful view of the sea, especially for sundown.
Food is great, we have tried either fish (stuffed squid) and the local cevapi (croatian sausage)and both were delicious. Service was careful and totally appropriate. Dessert is served for free.
Other than being very good, food is also a lot, so make sure you are very hungry if you order more than one plate.
Prices were lower than expected.

Delicious food for a fair price with a nice view.
I had some anchovies as a starter, followed by an tuna steak and some Šopska (Even tho the salad was more like a Greek salad, it was still near to the taste. Veggies could have been bigger, but taste wise it was good).
The rest of the food was very amazing.
I also got a free desert (Pancake with honey and probably a lemon sorbet).
The prices are good, especially compared to the quality.
The staff is nice and helpful as well.
Definitely recommended.

We spent the most wonderful couple of hours over lunchtime here today and were blown away by the quality of the food. The restaurant is set to beautifully look over the water and offers excellent, friendly service. We felt welcome, comfortable and relaxed.

It took a long time to choose what we wanted to order (we will have to return for sure!) because there was such an excellent choice.

We chose the beef soup for a hot appetiser, which was beautifully presented and seasoned; and served with lovely fresh bread.

Our cold appetiser was mixed salad, dressed with the house made vinegar with honey which was delicious.

Steaks for main were outstanding in quality, and cooked perfectly. Quite honestly some of the best steak we’ve ever eaten. Both were served with great accompaniments; the green peppercorn sauce was especially great.

We somehow had space left for the pancakes which were filled with cheese and honey - we had never tried this before and it was fabulous.

Please make time to visit Restaurant Uskok, the food and service are great, and the prices extremely reasonable - you won’t be disappointed.

We had a lovely dinner here: great location near the sea, nice atmosphere, a really friendly waiter who gave us a free schnapps after dinner, correctly priced local dishes, food that was just overall good. Loved the (juge) mixed fish starter and the grilled calamares!

The seafood is super fresh and tasty. Before the main dish was served we received a „gift from the kitchen“ and as a goodbye we got a shot on the house. All in all a great experience and the prices are great.

Not so attractive from outside but the service is attentive, food is good and a bit more original than other places. Prices are regular. A good address

The restaurant has a great terrace that overviews the sea and the marina. I had the chicken skewers wrapped in deliciously smoked bacon with a side of fries and a perfectly balanced homemade tartar sauce (the chicken was prepared to juicy perfection). My girlfriend had the fried calamari which was also one of the best I've tried and it was fresh (also not too oily). The waiter was very welcoming with a smile. When we finished the meal, he also offered us some coffee and/or rakija on the house but since this was just a road stop, we sadly had to decline (although a stop we will most certainly repeat come summertime!). Also, I would like to add that the price to portion ratio is very well balanced and just right since the prices are also fair, as well as the waiting time.

Perfect fish plate for 2. Great service, fair prices and delicious food. They even served us an appetizer and offered the local Rakija for free. Definitely recommended. The fishplate, water, cheesecake and ice coffee were around 470kn. And the fish was probably the tastiest fish I ever had in Croatia

Gnocchi dish was too salted.

Calamari were too little salted, but thats not a problem because you can allways add salt. Good part is thst calamari were really soft as butter.

A nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the seaside and the mountains. The service was very good - pleasant staff showing a lot of generosity by serving medica (honey rakija) and several dishes on the house. The food was delicious with a large selection of fish and meat but also vegetarian options.
Would definitely like to come there another time!

The main course was delicious, we ate fresh Grdobina. We recommend this place for awesome sea food. The dishes were fresh and very well prepared.
The staff were extremly friendly, we even got some food/drinks on the house.

It was possible to reserve table on a Saturday evening from google maps. The owner was very nice. We ordered Grilled Calamari, Grilled Scampi and Black risotto. The sea food was very fresh. I’d recommend to enjoy the dinner by sunset. The staff is also very friendly
