After visiting Plitvice lakes we were more than ready for lunch. Almost an empty restaurant with a smiling waitress promised to have relax and good food. Reality was even better than expected. We got an appetizer- local creamy cheese with home made bread. Just perfect. We ordered beef soup with noodles, vegetables and meat. Simple, tasty, warm. We decided to have lamb. One was prepared with lentils, the other was specially baked wrapped in paper with potatoes, vegetables and drop off local plum brandy. Soooooo tasty. Add extremely friendly waitress and comfortable ambience. Prices are adequate for the locality and quality of food.

After treading the Plitvice National Park, (Second week of September 2023), hotel Bellevue staff, where we were staying suggested - us to go here. It was little far, and they offered a complimentary pick and drop. You are apprehensive first, but as soon you reach the restaurant you get good. The most amazing food. Sumptuous vegetarian options, sufficient portions. Plating is for Real. Their limited option dessert was awesome. The cheese they serve at the start leaves you asking for more, more...
But look at the Interior of the restaurant . You are literally transported to the old world. Woodden, red curtains , ruggish, spears.... We were in Awe.

Four people ended up with 100€, worth every penny.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Croatia - worth to visit especially after a hike in the National Park - Peka is absolutely brilliant - service is way another league comparing to some other places - our waiter Goran is master of his profession - the atmosphere of the place is charming, warm.

Helpful staff, beautiful food.
The place is cozy and nice. We waited long time for food, but waiters informed us about this and it's not problem, because the restaurant was almost full.
The serving was perfect.
Lika soup was delicious with lamb, root vegetables and potatoes and a piece of baked tomato cheese bread.
Lamb cutlet with herb crust was delicious. We ordered two lambs and one of that was unfortunately undercooked. Nevertheless it was delicious and we ate everything.
The honey cake was good too.
Price are in the middle.
Thanks for the flavors, we'll be back next time too.

This place far exceeded our expectations. Arriving here we had very low expectations. I'm not sure why but we did. The food was fantastic. We'd eat here again if we return to this area.

Excellent and tasty food, very friendly and helpful waiters. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant and beautifully decorated in ethnic style. The location of the restaurant is also great, whether you want to take a break from traveling or if you want to visit the Plitvice Lakes.

The waiters are extra polite, approachable and cheerful. The ambiance is totally unique and enchanting. The food is extra tasty and juicy with praise for everything perfectly prepared and of high quality. The price is completely touristic, but considering the location and quality of everything, it totally justifies it. Definitely a must visit.

We just walked in at early April. The lamb soup and lamb cutlets were both very tasty. Very good location, just opposite to entrance 1 of Plitvice lake national park

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, usually restaurants in such touristic places are nothing to write home about but this one was just great!
All the food was well made and tasted great, from the couvert to the desserts.

Marijaliya (I’m sure I misspelled her name) was our excellent and informative waitress for the evening. Very welcoming.
The cheese platter was great, homemade bread paired well with it.
The saiten vegetarian meal was excellent.
And the picnic bbq was very tasty, strong flavors.

All in all a great meal.

I went there at around 9:00 pm in Jan, I was the only customer there which found me interesting. Anyways, they still offer really good service and food! First comes the appetizer which is their homemade cheese. I ordered a Lika soup and Lika bundle as main dish. I have to open the paper of it myself. I didn’t expect my meal to be interactive lol
And also remember!! You have to reserve in advance for the traditional meals on the menu.
p.s. I went there during their 50th anniversary so the hang a big 50 at the entrance, lovely!!

The food was really good. Staff was not particularly friendly but okay. We got a small plate of cheese and liver pate ( very strong in liver taste) at the beginning of the meal for free. The lamb under the bell had to be ordered 3h prior (so we booked 3h before our arrival) and was… just regular tasty lamb served with perfectly cooked potatoes and vegetables.
The cheesecake was not a cheesecake, rather a layer cake with some plum jam, but it was still good (but not cheesecake).
Still, a good place for dinner in plitvice.

We enjoyed our dinner here today and it was really delicious! We had the tomahawk steak, bacon and onion potatoes and the lika bundle. The meat was incredibly juicy and soft. Every ingredient had a subtile smoked flavour which was really good. Definitely recommended when you are visiting the Plitvice lakes!

The restaurant, food and staff were all so lovely. Couldn't fault it, especially our waitress Mariana who made us feel very welcome, advised us on what to drink and educated us about the traditional dishes in Croatia. She was very friendly and insightful. Very happy we found this place!

Though government owned, the restaurant offers 5-star services, people there check whether you enjoy your stay and the food every 5 min, things from the house, and the food is absolutely delicious! Great variety of dishes, lots of national specialities and amazing platings. The setting in itself looks stylish and elegant. Prices are not higher than other restaurants in the area (though one might expect that, being the official restaurant of the Plitvice National Park). It's an experience of culture, food and people all together! So, it's a must on a tourist list!

Great atmosphere, excellent food and great service. I had the stuffed gnocchi and honey cake. My partner had the traditional lamb "peka" (which you need to remember the order in advance) and "Iika soup". A great way to finish a day of intense hiking at the lakes.

We had the Lika Bundle and it was absolutely wonderful. Juicy, tender and full of flavour. It took some time to cook but it was worth it. Thank you Mariana (the kind waitress) for the recommendation. Note that some of the items on the menu must be ordered in advance.

Simply outstanding food and service here. Everything is homemade and high quality. Really friendly staff. prices are more than fair.

Very tasty traditional food. Staff were nice and professional and atmosphere was pleasant. The whole experience was excellent and I'm really glad we chose this place for lunch
