"Kamene priče" rooms, music and food

Simply wonderful. Cosy rooms. Great cuisine. The music - the music - the music, jazz entirely according to our taste. Marvelous ambience and, above all, the boss and lady wife have gathered a staff around them that was extremely friendly. We were on first-name terms within minutes of arrival. We met their friends and we felt a part of the crowd. They lugged our luggage and then parked our car - and got it for us when we left. Just go, you will not regret it. Lawrence and Romana

Very interesting and unique hotel and restaurant. The village itself is very special to begin with. Then inside the village we found this place on a quiet narrow street. The sun hit the tables outside nicely and inside one could enjoy jazz music - almost like out of this world.

The two waiters(a lovely lady and a very nice guy) that served me were great, the service was fast, and the lady that was playing the piano was so talented it was calming just listening here play(if you like classical music). The prices were normal and in my opinion not too high considering the place you're dining in. If you are set on eating there and not just having drinks than make a reservation and don't gamble on a chance of a free table(especially if more then 2 people are in your party).

This is incredible little place located in the heart of bale with spectacular views and unique, incredibly romantic, and relaxed atmosphere. The service is very kind and cherefull and the offer of food and drinks is good. The place offers live jazz music lifting the whole experience. It is really worth the visit.

Went here for dinner with a friend because we liked the jazzy music we heard from outside.

This place is such a hidden gem, the location is super cozy, you're basically in the inner garden of an old building, with the tables arranged on different balconies and levels.

The waiters were very welcoming and spent time telling us about the history of the town, the restaurant, and about what out of the menu dishes they had.

We had pasta with octopus. I'm Italian and am quite very critic about food I eat, especially when it comes to pasta, and the food here was just very good. Wine was good as well.

I would recommend this place so much, it made our short visit to Bale unforgettable

A total gem.. cool little place oozing in charm and style and the most delicious bowl of home made pasta + meatballs and glass of local red wine in the most romantic of tables tucked away in a balcony covered in vines. Unbeatable.

An unusually cozy place, with above-average friendly staff and owner. We were treated badly by a well-known accommodation site. With their help, we were able to arrange that this site used by many does not have to be paid more than promised. During this time, I received a free beer and my partner a lemonade to treat stress. I have never experienced such humane and correct service and hospitality anywhere, if I could I would give six stars. If you travel here, book accommodation directly. Don't go through an intermediary, believe me they will have a calmer and cheaper life. In retrospect, thank you for the long conversations with the mediator and the free drinks.

Amazing bar playing beautiful Jazz music. Extraordinary atmosphere to sit in the middle of ruins surrounding the terrace and the walking street where you can find the spot you desire to listen, chat and appreciate the lovely wine they serve: a cushion in a window opening or all kind of seating area. Food looked great but we had already eaten. Staff rightly proud of their creation... Not to be missed

A really cool bar and restaurant. The dishes were excellent, staff was really nice. It's all about Jazz in an easy manner. Rooms look pretty, so as an accomodation it could be considered next time. The owners super cute dog was the icing on the cake. 😀

Amazing experience! The restaurant has some tables inside but the real magic is discovered when sitting in the patio. Decorated walls, grapevine ceiling and atmospheric jazz music. Just sitting there makes you feel relaxed and happy.
Food is really expensive but worth its money. The steaks (both meat and tuna) are well prepared with regard of client’s cravings.
The wine is their own, justifiably awarded.
They guy servin guy is super nice and helpful.

Bale is my favourite Istrian town which I frequent as much as possible and each visit to Bale is accompanied with a short but obligatory stop to Kamene priče for its unique atmosphere. This year for the first time we decided to have our family dinner there. We were not sure what to expect but a relatively limited menu offer was a promise from the very start for fresh and carefully selected food. That certainly was the case with our fish plates that we ordered both as a starter and a main meal. Everything was prepared in a simple, yet the right way, and served beautifully on very unique tableware. People working there felt more like friendly neighbours rather than staff working and serving. Overall it was a wonderful experience that will be kept in our memories until we come back again, as soon as possible.

Fantastic food and ambience. The short menu is a tell tale sign of locally sourced ingredients and perfected recipes. Staff is friendly but not artificial. Treat them well, and they will return the favor. Unless you are a stuck-up snob, this is the only dining experience you will ever need in this charming town.

Local food, good beer, nice exterior

Very pleasent place to be. The personal is very friendly and the food is delicious. I had the menue of the day with octopus and polenta. Just great! The restaurant is very small and very nice located. On the bacjside you will find some quite places to eat. Enjoy it.

Accomodation great! Bar great! Music great!Atmosphere great! If you wanna have a dinner there know that menu needs a bit work in variety and a value for money category. Dog friendly!

Really nice, comforting staff, excellent and delicious food and an overall unique place in the heart of Bale. Always worth visiting and spending some quality time in a relaxing and inspirational atmosphere. We've spent ten wonderful days here and they surely will not be our last.

This is an absolute brilliant place! We visited a concert of a good (austrian) jazz singer with her band. Good food, at the big table you meet people from every nationality. In the summer you sit in the yard: old walls but no ceiling, etruscan remnants. We didn't want to leave!
