Girasole

This is one of those restaurants that will not disappoint. The gnocchi pasticada is a Dalmatian dish and this one was incredibly tasty. The richness of the red wine sauce with the gnocchi and the beef was absolutely delicious. The service was gracious but not intrusive. If you're not a smoker it may be an issue for you but I just went for it anyways and no regrets.

Good food and service!!!

Solin is quite a small town near Split and we went there for a day trip. There are some historic sites nearby but not exactly very accessible unless you go by foot (~40 mins) or by car. There are buses but not that frequent. A small tourist center near this restaurant for Solin, which is quite hidden as well. We didn't know about this restaurant but there wasn't much of a choice around the city and it was quite late in the afternoon. Main dishes (pasta) are around 60-70 kn each (6-7 pounds) and a glass of wine each, 14 kn a glass (1.4 pounds), a steal! But the quality was fantastic, totally matches up to the fancy restaurants from London.
We had a seafood pasta and the portion was big enough for two meals (we were starving, haven't had anything but a tiny bun for the morning), and it comes with a very generous portion of seafood (considering croatia is a country near the sea), which was as fresh as it gets. House wine was lovely as well but croatia is also known for their wine. We had our meal at the back of the restaurant, on the covered terrace, it was a peaceful, lovely, sunny afternoon. I love this place. The food was delectable, the peaceful atmosphere with only the nature to accompany was the best retreat we can have from our usual daily chaos in London.
The servers were considerate, they left us alone to chat and enjoy our food, but weren't inattentive. They would come back every now and then to check on us, but didn't stand very close to us- which I dislike, since it gives off a very imposing, almost oppressive presence.

We visited this local supported konoba dispite many negative reviews about service. We were greeted and seated by our friendly waiter with the very appropriate name of Dubravko. Our experience from start to finish was great. Menu is typically local cuisine – of course. I did not go there for fusion or fine dining. Our food was well priced, tasty and more than generous in portion. Drinks are also well priced. Thank you to our waiter who really treated us well and we will return to this konoba when next in Solin. Thanks to the chefs and staff. Have a wonderful year ahead.

Even though they were busy the service was still on point (which is hard to find in this part of the world).
Meals were delicious and fairly priced & the setting was also nice. Would definitely go again.

Delicious Dalmatian restaurant with many variations of home made dishes. Authentic food, reasonably priced and nice service.

Family feeling good food good service 😊

Recently spent 5 hours at Girasole and and we loved it. The weight staff was extremely friendly, at least our waiter and the food was delicious. The parking is free and the restraunt is set in a beautiful green Park area with huge trees which is pretty special in dry Split. Totally suggest it!

Really had great service and we felt at home from the get go. Food was great. All-in-all a very enjoyable evening.

Very good food and pleasant terrace, especially when the weather is sunny, as it opens towards a nice green park. There are usually 5-6 ready dishes and pizzas are excellent.
