If you find yourself in Istria, this is the place you MUST experience! Kid-friendly and dog-friendly place.

The food is delicious! For antipasti, we tried prosciutto, sausages and cheese in olive oil. Everything is super tasty and home made.

For main courses, we tried tagliatelle with truffles and traditional istrian pork - ombolo.
Everything was beyond words! The truffle shavings were huge and I believe the pasta was also homemade.

We tried home wine, homemade medical,biska & homemade elderberry juice.
Words are not enough to describe the authenticity of every flavor.

The environment is also breathtaking - terrace has an amazing view of Istria, and around the yard there were a pony and a donkey, small ducklings, chickens, rabbits and two dogs.

The hosts were beyond kind and helpful. We felt more than welcome and appreciated.

This is the place we will definitely visit every time we come to Istria.

Almost on the top of Istria. What a place, truly authentic local Istrian cuisine experience. Friendly owners, delicious food and the view, stunning view towards Mirna valley, you can even see Motovun in far distance. Suitable for families or couples, which can enjoy on a terrace with amazing view. Must experience!!!

High cuisine born from tradition offers some really great dishes.
Of course, since we are in Istra, the homeland of truffles, fuzi with truffles is a must! But you will enjoy local pasta with other condiments like chicken goulash, donkey or buskarin (buskarin is a huge bovine). I surely reccomend the mixed antipasto of sausages or salami called klobasa" made of pork , local cheese, prosciutto and olives.
You would not mind some meat prepared "ispod črepnje", a slow cooking process when meat, spices and usually potatoes are placed under a small "dome" and covered with slow burning wood.
Parking is right in front of the building, a great view will make you enjoy your meal even more.
Prices are more than affordable and kids are most welcome.
Its distance from the main roads is surely compensated by the quality of the food, warm owners and the fantastic view of the Istrian landscape.

We were there on our road trip to Istria. It is about 5 minutes by car from Oprtalj and it is worth visit. Great view, family run restaurant, nice domestic food and you can see domestic animals which is great for kids.

Such a friendly family! We had a great time enjoying super tasty fresh food (fuzi with truffles exceptional!) and delicious homemade lavender and honey schnaps! A really nice spot to grab a quality authentic Istrian meal for not that much money!

Great place to visit especially with kids. Animals such as donkeys, ponies, chickens, goats, sheep, and lots more are roaming on the estate.
Food is local and it tastes great.
Only thing that could bother someone is the waiting time but if you are not in a rush and just want to have great family time while eating fine food this place is great choice.

One of the best places, I have ever visited! Great traditional Istrian cooking, nothing pretentious, simpley delicious, traditional Istrian food, great big portions, and good prices!

The owners are more then kind and welcoming, the atmosphere is great! The place where is situated is beyond lovely. Best views of Istrian countryside, literaly breathtaking.

Great, hosts, amazing food, and beautiful landscape. We will definitelly make a family tradition of freqent visits. Great place to slow down and tame the hectic rythm of your life and just enjoying the moment(s).

To me this is the best place for eating in Istria. The owners will make you feel as if you were eating at your grandmother's house, the quality of food is superlative, everything comes from them. I personally know the son of the owner and they are just amzing and honest people. It's impossible you will go only once to visit them! :D After eating the fuzi with truffle, the istrian prosciutto, and drinking fresh Refosc wine, will want to never go back home!

Beautiful and symphatetic countryside place with delicious rustic food. You can ask for vegetarian options. The family doesn't speak english very well but we got everything we needed. Two course meal with wine 30e for 2 people. Totally woth the trip!

Very good homemade food with homemade ingredients. However if you decide to have lunch here you should plan with several hours 😉
