Restaurant Kamenar

I had the absolute pleasure of dining in the old city center of Primošten, and I must say, everything about my experience was truly amazing. From the delectable food and impeccable service to the breathtaking view, it was a truly memorable evening. The dinner itself was a delightful experience, and the atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment. I am eagerly looking forward to returning to Primošten so that I can relive this incredible experience once again.

I had lunch here without prior reservation.

On atmosphere
With curtains dancing in the wind, relaxing music and very pleasant server, the experience was great.

Menu
Not too big, not too small, very well planned and easy to combine. Kamenar offers both meat and fish, also some local specialties like "Primostenski njoki", "Pasticada" etc. Prices are between 20 and 30 euros per dish / 5-10 euros for a glass of wine and app 8 euros for desserts.

The food
I had pieces lobster with pasta and the sauce which was a bit too bitter for my taste.
My main was amazingly baked and juicy medium tuna steak in olive oil with black fennel pure. For the dessert I had homemade fig ice cream with cookie crumble and lemon jam. Kamenar has a good wine list and all the wines are served by glass, too. They also have their house wine, which I haven't tried.

Toilettes at Kamenar were extra clean, coffee was fine, they kindly offered to charge my phone when I said my battery is running low.

The check
I paid 77€ for my lunch, which included lobster pasta, tuna steak, a glass of wine, a small bottle od sparkling water, a cup of coffee and some fig ice cream.

The best of the best! A must visit in Primošten. The food is amazing and the waiters and atmosphere even better. 10/10 Kamenar, see you next year!

Wow the best dinner you can get! We had the most fabulous time here!! Had the ribeye qiry grilled vegetables and the crunch potato! We had the scallop which was a whole experience! And the lobster pasta which had very tender lobster! Service was amazing!!!

Beautifull ambient, excellent service, great food

Everything was absolutely great. A wonderful restaurant with a breathtaking view, gastronomy at a high level and great experience. The waitresses are very lovely, informal and at the same time proffesional. Definitely the best restaurant in Primosten. We had a great evening and can't wait to come back next year.

Great tasting food, nicely presented, with good service. Price is not cheap, but you get what you paid for.

Perfect service and best quality foods in town

Excellent service, great food. We were there on a cool night in April, and the fireplace made for a very warm and cosy ambiance. The food was great with a special mention for the grilled calamari. All grilled foods were very authentic.
We will be back and highly recommend.

After COVID there are only 2 types of restaurants: Bad and Good. Only few are the best, because there is something, more specific, which you cant describe by words. I know one of those "The Best" in Primosten which is called KAMENAR. And I think it is not only because of good kitchen but because of waiter Damir, who is been working here more than 12 years. I would assume that loyal workers and people suporting their employers not only in good times, but mostly in bad times are this element, which makes this kind of business extraordinary. Thank you for another good lunch and see you next year.

Very tasty eating finally!!! Really good cooked and served. Wine is also nice. Friendly staff. I think it’s really one of the best place to eat in Croatia. Of course, prices aren’t cheap, but it pays. Highly recommend!
P. S. Don’t forget about couvert. It’s included in your bill automatically, but it’s about 2€ per person.

We visit Primošten for 2 reasons, at least twice a year. For the city itself and for the restoran Kamenar. Old town, very well kept, narrow streets, dalmatinian white stone. Nice view all around.

Restoran Kamenar. Family owned, located on the main square of the city. Dish list not too heavy. Only a few items for each type of food. But, excellent executed, tasty, not too much and not too less. Your plate looks like the chef knows what he/she is doing - fine.

Like i said, we visit Primošten for two reasons every year. Restoran Kamenar is one of them. 5 stars in rating are there for a good reason…

Extremely good restaurant. The food is excellent and the location is unparalleled. The service is amazing! I can only recommend it.

Smoked seafood risotto is excellent, probably the best in area also the variety of fresh fish is daily presented in refrigerated display cabinet, very helpful and friendly staff, highly recommend.

very good food, friendly and helpful service. especially from split we went for dinner. We was eat wonderful fish. Food is very fresh ❤❤ love this place
