Sis is the highest mountain on the island Cres in Croatia.

From my point of view, the greatest view on this island. The ascent is quite steep but the view from the mountain peak will pay off definetly. We needed 50 minutes to get on the top of this mountain. It is not possible to describe this view and the feeling to see the sea all around. The best thing is, that the parking to climb the mountain is only ten minutes away from the ferry. Evening time is the best time to go on this mountain!

Some 50 minute walk up to the top and in case of clear weather you can see beautiful scenery... ☺ And if you're lucky enough, you can see some vultures, too ☺☺

Sis je najviši službeni vrh otoka Cresa i drugi najviši vrh jadranskog otočja. S vrha se sjajno vide otoci Krk, Lošinj, Rab i Istra. Ako imate sreće iznad glave možete ugledati bjeloglavog supa. Cres je na sjevernoj strani stjenovit, visok i strm, a na jugu je pitom, u razini mora i lakše dostupan.

Najviša točka dostupna planinarima na otoku Cresu. Iako nije najviša točka Cresa, ovaj vrh je atraktivan, sa prekrasnim vidicima cijelim putem do vrha i na samom vrhu. Staza do vrha nešto je duža od 1 km, nije teška za uspon, a u ljetnim mjesecima treba voditi brigu o vrućini, a velika je prednost da nema straha od zmija otrovnica, jer ih na Cresu nema. Dok se penjete na vrh nadlijetati će vas tamošnji vladari neba, veličanstveni bjeloglavi supovi, čije je Cres prirodno stanište.

Der Weg ist etwas für griffige Schuhe - mit FliFlops oder anderen gemütlichen Sommerschuhen geht das sicher nicht gut aus 😅

Die Aussicht ist sehr schön und für den „Aufstieg“ habe ich ca. 45 Minuten gebraucht.

Der beste Ausblick über die Insel, deren Küsten steil ins Wasser ragen und zeigen, warum Cres ein Zeugnis eines untergangenen Gebirges darstellt (Canale-Küste). Der Parkraum am Fuße des Sis zeigt, wo sie hoch müssen - nehmen Sie sich Wanderstiefel, Picknick und genug Trinken mit und wagen Sie das Krackseln hoch auf den Sis, vorbei an alten Mauern und Olivenbäumen. Diese Mühe lohnt sich wie nur selten - oben haben Sie einen Rundumblick über Cres, Krk, Losinj, Istrien und umliegendes Mittelmeer. Passen Sie auf dem Plateau auf, wo sie hintreten, denn die Steinmassen hier können tückisch sein. Aber das Rasten dort ist wunderbar, besonders unter einen der alten, verwilderten Bäume.

Pekný kopec, prudké stúpanie zo začiatku, ale dalo sa :) krasne výhľady sú po ceste hore, zhora už výhľad nieje kôli stromom .. Cesta nám trvala 1 h. 45 min. tam aj späť, cca 3km :) odporucam

Vrlo lijepo. Svega 30ak minuta od parkirališta do vrha. Penjao sam se početkom listopada, vrijeme je bilo izvanredno, dolje toplo i sunčano, gore smo bili u oblacima, a svega 300 metara nadmorske visine (između vrha i početne točke)!

Prelijepi pogled na krajolik uz kruženje znatiželjnih bjeloglavih supova koji su samo gledali hoće li se koji umorni planinar pretvoriti u njihovu hranu.

Höchster Berg auf Cres. Waren mit Kindern und Rast in unter einer Stunde oben und wieder unten. Keine Wanderung an nicht so heißem Tag.

Mooi en hete! Wandeling vanaf parkeerplaats bij afslag. Prachtig uitzicht, goede schoenen aandoen, naar beneden veel losse steentjes!
