Maya Yoga House

We had a lovely stay at Maya’s. She has a wealth of knowledge, was very patient and tailored the whole programme according to our preferences. Her homemade food was amazing and she went out of her way and gave us rides everywhere as we didn’t rent a car. The surrounding area was so beautiful and the spa was 👌would definitely recommend.

The location of Mayas yoga house is easy to reach by train (Zabok train station) or buses (Tuheljske toplice).
Mayas yoga house is situated in a lovely location in Croatia’s countryside - you have an amazing view on the mountains; plants and gardens are all around you.
Maya is a great yoga teacher with a lot of knowledge and adapts the programme individually. She is very open and passionate about yoga and travelling and can tell you a lot about her travels and learnings from all kind of yoga teachers, especially from her times in India. It was really nice to meet you :)
The yoga practice was great, individually adapted to ones needs and Maya gives you a lot of insight in the effects of asanas. I really enjoyed practicing asanas, but also the agnihotra fire and yoga nidra were magnificent experiences you should definitely try! They can have a huge impact on you and deepen your relaxation. The private retreat is a great opportunity to deepen your yoga practice and knowledge for yourself.
The saunas in Terme Tuhelj are very good and relaxing. I can recommend to go there during your stay at Mayas Yoga House, check out also their special offers when you’re there.
Maya prepared very fresh, light and diverse food during the retreat. I enjoyed it very much and can recommend to go there as a vegan ;)
All in all Mayas yoga house is a great place to go if you want to calm down and relax.
