My visit to Stara Škola was truly exceptional. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere left a lasting impression. Although the service was generally good, there is some room for improvement, but I must commend them for their attention to allergies and food intolerances while maintaining delicious flavors in the dishes.

The food itself was a culinary masterpiece, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The indoor ambiance was decent, but the outdoor setting was absolutely fantastic.

For anyone in search of an outstanding dining experience, Stara Škola is a must-visit, and it currently stands as the best culinary experience I've had in all of Istria. Ok

Wow, such a great experience! The food is magnificent, the sevice even better, and the atmosphere just magical. Since I don't eat meat, they even prepared vegan dishes for me, and they're really like nowhere else. Especially hummus, it's probably the best I've ever tasted. And wines and coctails too, I can't decide which one is the best. As for the service and staff, I cannot commend them more. The waiters were polite and knowleadgeable, especially Mauro (I think that was his name). He even showed us the wine cellar and the other rooms in the building. The building itself used to be the only school in the village (hence the name; "stara škola" = "old school"). What's interesting about it is that they kept the old school theme in the building decor, as well as with the dishes and coctails. For example, some coctails are named by schools subjects (like Maths, Art, Music, etc.), and it's really a nice touch. Also, the view is absolutely magnificent! The restaurant is definitely worth the visit, I cannot recommend it more.

The atmosphere, the food, the cocktails everything was superb. You can even see a sunset in between the meal courses. We were there for over 3 hours because they bring you food at your own time. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.

We had a really great time there. The food was delicious and the wine menu extraordinary. The service was also outstanding. We would recommend to get there a bit early and enjoy the stunning view with a drink on the terrace.

As I perused the fixed menu, I was delighted to find a playful twist on the classic favorites one often encounters in this region. Chef Priska Thuring's creativity and dedication to using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients shone through in every dish.
