Konoba Maha

We pre-ordered the octopus and fish peka a couple days prior as it needs hours to cook so plan accordingly. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous; set up in the hills in wine country on Korcula. The chef explained the cooking process and outdoor oven setup. It was really special. All the food was divine, and the service was outstanding! Loved the fig old fashioned as well.

This place was really something special. From the ambiance, food and service, everything was perfect. I would also like to thank the staff for adapting the beef tartare for me since I’m a celiac and they made sure I also have the full experience as the rest of my family. Coming back for sure.

A beautiful family run place with Delicious food, the creamy zucchini soup was so flavourful, the steak was so juicy, the Peka slow cooked stew was so tender. We also enjoyed the herbal sage juice! The service was good too, definitely an unforgettable experience.

This was an off the beaten path hidden gem! What a lovely time our family had! We ordered the Peka, and the chef gave us a detailed description of the cooking process right at the wood fire oven. The food is a culinary adventure and so meticulously prepared. You feel the passion that the chef has for his food and wine! He is extrmeely talented. I highly recommend this truly unique and mouth-watering experience.

Konoba Maha is a must see in Korcula ! It is so beautiful and well kept. The staff are amazing, very attentive and explained everything we saw on our plate. They offer Peka (traditional Croatian food) but also a range of dishes for everyone. Lots of local produce incorporated. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting and it is only a short drive from the main township 🥰🫶

This place was absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough good things and would recommend it to anyone visiting Croatia. The setting was unbelievably beautiful but you also felt at home at the same time, the service was impeccable, and the food (and wine) was outstanding. Every dish was amazing but the macaroni appetizer and lamb main dish stood out.

We brought our 16 month old son which for us is anxiety provoking but the staff were so kind and welcoming and let my son and husband roam the grounds when he couldn’t sit still any longer in a high chair. They even brought my son a tiny spoon each time a new course came.

I will dream of eating food at this place for years to come!

Every once in a while, you come across a place by accident or because a close friend planned the visit. :). Recently, while watching a show on HBO i came accross Konoba Maha(Thanks Phil). After visiting La Banya today we went to eat in Konoba Maha.
This was one of my best eating experiences in Croatia so far. We had every dish you can imagine. I tried taking pictures of all but I think I missed a few. We had amazing mixed drinks and wine. Most important we had the pleasure of meeting a family that runs this gorgeous place. Jaksa and his crew whipped up an amazing experience for us. Thank you Jaksa, father, Mother abd staff for an amazing time. Next time we are coming with our kids.

Ps - if you are anywhere near Korcula - go visit these guys. Call ahead and plan your menu if you can. They have special dishes that take full day to prepare. You will not regret it.

This restaurant is all about experience - location, atmosphere, design, service… We loved it!!

This was our second time here. Still the most beautiful and romantic place ever. Melon soup was extraordinary! The staff is amazing! Great place!

We called on the same day and fortunately they were kind enough to have us for dinner since we wanted to try Peka. We ordered mixed lamb and veal.
This was indeed a great experience but a little pricey. It’s a family business and we loved the personal touch in every step of it. From the delicious focaccia with the crackers to the cheese plate with figs. Both waiters were very kind and attentive during all times, explained everything and we were able to have a sneak peak of the Peka preparation before eating.
The lamb was great but the veal was too fatty for my personal taste. The potatoes were also very tasty and we wished there was more to eat!
Tip: Book and order in advance. Respect the schedule when you book your seats.

Outstanding experience last night. Food, drinks, ambience and the staff were exceptional. We were fortunate enough to meet the wonderful owners. Absolutely the best meal experience in Croatia. Must do in Korcula. Thank you for an amazing evening!

In love with this place! Visited with my family this summer and we had a blast. From ambience, music, staff and food…everything was perfect! We had soparnik and beef tartare for appetizer then peka and few desserts. I’m only sad I didn’t know about this place earlier!

Despite the bad weather, Jakša contacted me to ensure that we would have a table in the beautiful indoor area. In addition to this, I was able to have octopus Peka for one person which is not normally possible (which I greatly appreciated!). Special mention for the beef tartare - it was incredible

The staff were knowledgeable and welcoming and the food was heavenly.

A large party (20+ people) arrived during our meal and we were gifted a bottle of wine for the disruption (even though there was no disruption at all!).

We had a fantastic evening and will be sure to return in future!

We visited this place a couple of days ago and it was our fortune that we had the opportunity. Kind of magical feeling in this lovely ranch. Eating under the starry sky and having exquisite meals! Definately a place to visit!

Don’t miss this place when visiting Korcula island!

This place is all about experience, atmosphere and food. Location is 15 min by car from the city of Korcula, it is located in beautiful garden and when you enter the property the full experience starts. The service is very professional and the welcoming staff is telling you the story of their heritage and traditions by serving you every dish. All the ingredients are local, from olive oil to meat, fish and vegetables. All the wines are local, and they know how to pair wines with food served.

For starters we had: beef tartar with dried tomatoes, spring onion, truffle emulsion and “žrnovski macaroni”
For main course we had: lamb and octopus under the bell with seasonal salad served

Highly recommend this restaurant to experience authentic croatian dalmatian kitchen with fine dining touch!

Wow, what a great place and finger licking food.
I would definitely recommend this place as Jaksa and team really made something special.
We were family of 5 people starting with some home made bread and amazing olive oil, tartar and corn soup.
For the main dish we had octopus peka (the peka is a metal or earthenware bell under which a variety of meats or seafood and vegetables are cooked. The peka is thrust into burning ambers and left for a considerable length of time and the result is amazing). Keep in mind, if you would like to eat peka you have to order it day in advance. In any case, reservation is must, as this place is fully booked. In the season, few days in advance is needed.
The staff is very professional, we were served by the guy called David who was explaining every dish in detail. If you are visiting island Korcula, Konoba Maha can not be missed. Based on the food and professionalism, I think this restaurant might get first Michelin star soon.
Amazing!!!

The food and atmosphere are was seriously out of a dream. The nighttime cab ride felt like we were being driven along a long road to a robbery, but I promise as soon as you get there it will blow your mind. You’re greeted immediately by a wonderful server and you sit down in the ambiance of a 5 star restaurant. Every part of the experience makes you question why this place doesn’t have a Michelin star. I have food allergies to one of their main course items (octopus) and they happily accommodated. We haven't given a Google review before, despite travelling all around the world and trying different restaurants. We wish we could give 100/10. Fully recommend.

Absolutely amazing place. Ambient is fantastic, food is delicious and service is great. Highly recommended if you wanna try authentic Korčula cuisine! Well done Konoba Maha team!
