Matošević Wines of Istria

We enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting at Matošević! The wine tasted great, and the garden where we sat was peaceful, shaded and beautiful. The staff and service was very friendly and knowledgeable and made our visit unforgettable. We were staying in Rovinj and it was great having such a lovely wine tasting experience so close to the town. Would highly recommend. Thank you Matošević for the wonderful experience!

Got a three wine tasting. Patient and knowledgeable staff that told us all about the different grape varieties of Croatia and Istria.

The staff that was processing the grapes from the vineyard even gave us some grapes to try!

What a fantastic place! We had a little wine tasting (3 glasses for 7 Euro or for free if you buy wine) under the cherry tree. So romantic and the wines are surprisingly good! The young woman serving us was amazing too. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Their story since opening 25 years ago is a really interesting one keeping up with new discoveries, techniques and skills to deliver special wines.

A great place to go to learn and expand your knowledge on Croatian wines. Nestled near Porec, a lovely courtyard awaits. Our host Toni is super knowledgeable, excellent English speaking and very witty in his presentation. Lots of good wine to choose from if you do wish to buy after the tasting. Thank you

If I could give this winery 10 stars, I would! Everything was perfect, from wines, ambiance to service. Our waitress was Anja, she was just amazing. So knowledgeable, empathetic and nice. She was especially nice to our dog which we appreciate very much. We loved it so much here we bought 6 wines and we are already planning our next visit. So, thank you to Anja and her colleagues and to the winery for making us feel at home! 🤗

Booked a wine tasting, upon arrival they asked us if we have time, we said yes, and the rest is history :)
They expanded our wine tasting with several more wines, a cellar visit and delicious cold cuts and chesse plate, with some great olive oil.
What was a 1 hour planned stop, turned into a 3+ hour unplanned adventure with a grappa to finish. Ended up packing a few of their bottles to take home as well. Definetl must recommend.

This winery has a beautiful location and lot of space even for families with small children. The quality of their wines is excellent, and by Matosevic you can taste wines from local varieties (Terano and Malvasia) in purity. I had a great time, of you are in the neighbourhoods this winery is a must

I'm in love with this place. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to Mr. Toni who knows everything there is about winemaking! We tried all sorts of wine and every one was delicious. We got served some bread with istrian extra virgin oil and almonds.

I recommend everyone who plan to visit Istria to try some of the best Istrian wine at Matošević vineyard.

After calling upfront we had a great stay with a very detailed and interesting wine tasting. The wines are good and we bought several bottles to take them home. Unfortunately shipping from Croatia to Germany seems difficult, so reordering won't be possible for now

Such a great place we accidentally run into. Bad weather brought us to this family bussiness, and I was sooo happy to end up here. Great wines we have tasted, and of course, bought to bring home, great service and welcoming people working here made our day. There are many much more known wineries in Istria but, based on my experience I can say, that this one is definitely a jewel in a crown. 👌👌👌👌💍

I went to 8 vineyards across Croatia and this one is my favorite. I tried 6 different wines, all generous pours, and they were all fantastic. I bought 3 bottles and they graciously waived the cost of the tasting. The staff is all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their wines. I even got a short tour.
