Restoran Tvrđava Knin

We had our special date at this amazing restaurant. Very polite and friendly staff, a breath-taking view and delicious food (stuffed pork tenderloin is highly recommended to try) made it memorable. Top notch service and good prices. The place has also a historic importance as it’s a fortress built in the 9th century, and you can also see the tallest in Croatia mountain Dinara.

Most incredible view from terrance! Best meal at Croatia ❤ meat was cooked perfectly but little low on Salt, potatos balanced it well! Prices to quality IS top notch! Have to mention their own brewed Beer was really good too🤌

Surprisingly great food for a tourist sight. Nice pit stop between Plitvice and Split. Friendly service and good grilled meats. We found there was no need to go into the fort because the view was so nice!

Amazing place in all the ways - the view is awesome (you can see highest mountain of Croatia from their terrace), food (we had Vienna steak and grilled chicken) was great (especially Vienna steak).
Restaurant had local Knin beer. Iced coffee was super too (they gave water with it which is very nice when the weater is so hot).
We also took mixed salad with out meat dishes, which was very fresh and good.
Quality-price ratio is perfect.
You can pay by card here, but unfortunately you can leave tips only by cash (we did not have cash, but the waiter was superb!).

The food was really good and the homemade gnocchi were delicious! A small lack of salt but it's better to have less than too much! The service was really nice. Difficult to access but to be expected when you visit a castle on a hill! Definitely recommend! (Visited out of busy season)

Excellent ambience, great service and delicious food! We had rib-eye steak (dry aged). It was soo tasty that we have eaten it all despite the fact it was more than 300g of plain meat😀. And the side dish was fabulous too-best ever baked potatoes with spring onion and bacon. The waiter was fully informed, caring and professional, he satisfied all our requests, which were not few😂. If you love great tasty steaks and wonderful ambience, this is the Place!

The lemon cheesecake was one of the best I've ever had. It was creamy, not too sweet, and perfectly sour. The waiter was polite and the view was superb. Highly recommended!

They are excellent. I ordered Apricot juice and Wienes schnitzel. The price was 85-90kn for the schnitzel, i thought the portion will be small because back where im from you would pay that price for a very small portion. That wasnt the case in this restaurant. The portion was huge and I didn't expect that. The photo says it all. Also, with the meat you get tartare sauce and french fries but i added ketchup and mayonnaise to the original order. At first i thought there was less french fries but it was just under the schnitzel.😅 Also the catering is so good. The service is well quality. Our restauranteur was very kind, he gave us time to think what we want to order, he later asked us if everything was okay, and everything, let me tell you, was excellent! My mom order Merlot wine, which was very delicious. She also ordered Lino Lada pancake and she enjoyed them. She never tasted better pancakes than those in the restaurant. My uncle order grilled squid and mineral water. I recommend this place a lot. I would come back here again!💕💕💕

I'm giving 5 stars because: we were only visitors (I like quiet places), waiter was really nice and helpful (we wanted 1 Cedevita to share and he brought 3 glasses with water - just to choose if we want 1 full taste or half-half in two glasses), the coffee was by far the best I had in Croatia (all the lungos prepared on the coast were burned). Terrace with and without shade. Menu available online only, by QR code scanning. Haven't tried the food but I'm sure it would be great. Toilets small, but OK (paper, paper towels).

Perfect restaurant! I come by on my way to the coast every year. Food is phenomenal! Great views and aged steaks.

Fantastic food.
Asked for a rare steak and it was perfect. Two others had the stuffed cheeseburger and 1 had chicken.
4 mains and 4 drinks and 4 cheesecake came to approx €65.

Don't know why there's 3 locations for the one restaurant so have reviewed all 3. 😁

Position is as the name said at the top of the fortress. GREAT view. Personel is fine and helpfull. Food and portions are strong 4/5. It's not a fancy place, but it is clean and home atmosfere. Toward the hill on behind you can see a great waterfall...you have to visit it!!!

Absolutely delighted, ribeye steak cooked to perfect medium well. Other dishes also competent, location magnificent so is the atmosphere. All in all definitely will come back again.

Nice stop in travel from Split to PL National Park. The restaurant is located on the hill next to old castle. Beautiful view from terrace, big portions of food and friendly staff. The prices are reasonable.
I recommend.

Amazing views from this restaurant within the fortress of Knin. Try the homemade lemonade on a hot summers day and a strong iced coffee.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We ate meat platter, fried and grilled chicken with french fries, pasta with chicken and black orzot with cuttlefish. The food was very tasty and plentiful. What surprised us the most was the the black orzot with cuttlefish. We are fans of black risotto and we were skeptical but we decided to try it and we were delighted. Our waiter was very kind and nice. All praises and recommendations.👍☺
