Bugenvila in Cavtat

3rd October 2023 - This was such a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a waterview lunch in a well floral decorated outdoor setting. The staff were attentive and helpful and then the food was another level. The food was so well presented and tasted just as fantastic as they were presented. Delicious and fresh and we loved this lunch. The duck breast with pasta was sensational.
This restaurant had the whole package and is highly recommended.

Aye lunch and dinner here this week. Food is amazing and superb wine to match the food. Service is very attentive. It's rightly worthy of being in the Michelin Guide. As it was end of season and closing in 2 days some things were unavayon the menu. Understandable. Please, please if you visit Cavtat during months April to October, visit this place.

A beautiful place for a relaxing lunch in Cavtat. The food is creative but unpretentious and worthy of its Michelin guide entry. We had the fixed price menu which was really good value at €29 and added a dessert. The beef really stood out for its flavour. Croatian wines were superb and they also made the best Hugo we’ve had. A lovely way to spend an afternoon with scenic views.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting the Vlaho Bukovac museum. The colorful and inviting outdoor space pulled me in. I ordered from the prix fixe menu. All dishes had meticulous presentation. The mushroom tart was beautiful. Loved the beet salad and black risotto. View was perfect. Overall very pleased.

Totally worth it's spot on the Michelin guide. Superior ingredients cooked by genius in the kitchen and the staff are very friendly. For the quality it's very well priced. Best food I've had and the mojito is to die for

Such a lovely place, excellent service and the food was delicious! My husband and I had 3 course menu and we are satisfied with all dishes.
Unfortunately I can’t drink alcohol but mocktails were also great!!!
I can highly recommend here if you are looking for a romantic dinner with sunset :)

Another of my top three in Cavtat. Beautifully appointed with very attentive staff and the food was inventive and delicious.
We had Lobster bisque, Hake, clams with cavetelli pasta and an incredible dessert of a modern twist on Tiramisu. Great views -which most of the restaurants in Cavtat have.

My New Favorite Spot! Food was amazing, thanks to the South American (🇦🇷 & 🇨🇱) team bringing out the flavors of the Mediterranean. 🙏🙌

Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Few had pizza.

We had soup, one dish, one vegetable... Both very nice.

I had tagliatelle pasta with shrimp and zucchini.

Fine dine lunch. The best in Cavtat. We took two 3-course menu and blue fin tuna tartar as starter and shared all for two persons. Small dishes but absolutely great taste.

Definitely a place to stop by when you are in Cavtat. Food is amazing and concept of the dishes were great. Flavours of each ingredient harmonised really well. The meal was good for the price of the fixed set menu.

This is like some fantasy getaway. Hop on a boat from Dubrovnik. Enjoy 30 minutes of that beautiful sea breeze. Land as cool as a cucumber. Wonder the delightfully scenic and small pennisula village. Tourist stalls and a shirt incline to an old cemetery. Come down and dine on lovely delights of the Bugenvilla. The waiting staff tried so hard. Attentive, chatty, and professional. The food was spot on. Delicious. Apple dumplings were unsual, but it was a great start. The seafood is beautifully presented. There is lots of activity from the remaining staff team. Don't be fooled that the dishes were too small. Filling enough. You do get bread. The only downside was that the cheesecake was nothing like a cheesecake. But worth eating all the same. Don't try in the winter as closed when out of season!

Me and my partner went there for an early dinner, end of April. We didn't have a reservation, but most of the tables outside were empty, although labelled 'reserved'. We asked politely, if there was any possibility to get a table outside anyway, and our wish was granted! We sat down and were immediately taken care of by a very friendly and professional waiter. He provided us with the wifi password, made sure we're protected from the sun, and he seemed to be quite amused when I proclaimed that I needed a big beer for refreshment (I wasn't aware that I was in a fine dining restaurant at that point, and wine or an apéritif would've been more appropriate lol). According to our receipt, his name was Stjepan, so kudos to Stjepan for doing an amazing job!

We were absolutely not prepared for the experience that awaited us. We chose the fixed price menu for 29 Euros, which is very cheap for a 3 course menu, so we didn't expect anything too special. We didn't see the "Guide Michelin" sign next to the entrance until later. First, Stjepan introduced a selection of complimentary bread and spreads, made freshly every day. It was absolutely delicious!

When the first course arrived, we started to realise that this was not an ordinary tavern, because that food looked and tasted like ART. I mean, look at the pictures. We had to add a dessert, of course.

Stjepan introduced each course in a professional manner, naming the main ingredients and explained the little twists, without sounding patronising or pompous. He treated us with utmost respect and courtesy throughout the evening, although we weren't even dressed properly for the occasion. The food was outstanding and some of the best I've ever tasted in my life. The whole experience made me feel like a princess, something I'm usually not even into, but this time it felt right :) Thank you, to the whole team of the Bugenvila, for such an amazing experience.

I’m Italian and quite fussy about Italian dishes but the home made cavatelli with clams were to die for.

If I need to find a fault it will be the waiting time, they were quite busy and we had to wait quite a bit for our dishes to come out, but the professional approach to it was to offer us some delicious bite size type of bruschetta with delicious lard on it.

Perfect holiday dinner. Great dinner choices and lots of nice wine. Lamb shoulder consommé was like having your mothers soups on a cold winters Sunday afternoon. Deliciously scrummy broth that had bubbles of floating fat on top with tender succulent lumps of shoulder to fish out. For main, duck breast with sezonsko povrce on top of a layer of carrot purée. Would eat again. A lovely view into the kitchen to see the chefs create the goodness

1200 kuna for two and we ate like King's! Cocktail each, starters, mains, nibbles, bread, main meals, desserts, a bottle of wine, warm & cold coffees. Left not feeling too full either. Portions are perfect 🥰

Amazing restaurant. The food, wine and service are all top notch. The fluffy cheesecake is one of the best desserts I've eaten anywhere and is highly recommended.

At Bugenvilla Restaurant in Cavtat, every dish unfolds a tale of culinary delight.

The mains remain the main event. The Green Risotto, a brilliant emerald celebration of broccoli and asparagus, is hearty and satisfying. If you are looking for upscale dining in a relaxed atmosphere, look no further. For a €30, i’ve never had a better 3-course-meal. Beautiful well balanced cocktails, fresh seafood, and hyper-vigilant wait staff rounded out our evening.
