Vela luka

Extrem beautiful place. We walked from Baska throw a canyon to vela luka. From vela luka you can take one of the lot water taxis to baska. Don’t forget your swimming suite :-) and a lot of water. At vela luka you can find a restaurant too

Vela Luka is a must when visiting Baska. In august, we choose to make it on foot, but is a difficult trip. The beach has decent amenities, sunbeds and umbrellas and a restaurant with acceptable prices.

Such a beautiful place, far away from civilization. Only reachable by boat or a 2 hour difficult hike. There’s even a tavern that works during summer time.

Absolutely stunning! If you are either trekking/hiking lovers or simply wild natural bay lovers you don't have to missed it up. This beautiful pebble beach with crystal clear water can be reach in 3 ways. For those who don't want to hike 2/3 h on a path inside carsic rocks under the sun there's a wide range of taxi boat, departing from Baska port, the will bring passenger to the beach for 60 kn per person. Taxi boats depart every 30 min up to 18 pm and bring you back to baska Port up to 19, 30 pm. For those who want to admire karst panorama all paths start from bunculuka camp where you can leave the car and choose either for the longer panoramic path 3 hours or the direct one, about hours.
Be careful to bring with you optimal trekking shoes because these will be 2.hours on landslide Rock.

Beautiful, almost private beach near to Baska on Krk island. You can get there hiking (Depending on trail from 1h to 4h ) or by taxi boat - 15 minutes. There is restaurant with most popular Croatian dishes, some drinks and ice cream. About 30 minutes far away is Mała Luka, which you can see from the top on the left.

Beautiful crystal clear water. For us the water was so cold, next time I want to bring wetsuit vest or something so we can snorkel longer. Water was so clear I could see many fish. It can get busy but not too crazy.

Nice beach, great if you wish to escape from crowded Baška. You may go there by boat taxi or by foot following red track. The trip will take about 2.5 h one way but the effort is worthy, it will reward you with great landscape view and many occasions for great photos.

Vela Luka is the perfect escape from the crowded beach in Baška. Is was pretty quiet in late September so there was plenty of space for everyone on the beach. The 2-2.5 hour hike to get there was nothing but beautiful views the whole way. I wish I could go to Vela Luka every day.

A beautiful place. It can only be reached on foot or by sea. We hiked. We started from Bunculuka camp. We were in Vela and Mala Luka.

Worth visiting. Beautiful sea, beach and sight. Taking taxi boat from Baška, it goes every half hour. There's a restaurant as well.

Remote and quiet, at least in June. There is a restaurant and a toilet and some umbrellas. Can be reached via boat taxi from Baska. You can hike towards Mala luka, which is 1 km away and is even more remote and quiet

Pictoresque and relaxing bay, hidden in a valley beneath a mountain on one of the largest islands in Croatia - Krk. Reachable by hiking, a few kilometres through rocky terrain, or organised taxi boat. Has a restaurant and a beach, but best to bring your own nourishments.

Love that place. Peaceful even in high season. Beautiful surroundins and great water.

The place is incredible, we arrived by the hiking path (well signaled but don't do it under the burning sun of lunchtime and bring a lot of water)... it's a shame it's so full of boats but the place is amazing. There's a bar/restaurant where you can order food and stuff but, talking about water, you wanna bring that in you backpack trust me (around 5€ for 1,5liters)
There's also a taxiboat from Baska, but the full experience wants you suffering on the trail😜

Loved the beach and the hike there was fun, too! There’s a water Taxi if you’re not planning on hiking back for 15€ per person.
Notably you’ll need to rent an umbrella since there’s no shade otherwise (10€ for just the umbrella, 25€ for umbrella plus recliners.
Drinks weren’t too expensive.
