Hostel Dalmatia

Really lovely people! The owners are very open and welcoming. They will do everything for you to make sure you have a great time, with good recommendations! The location is not super far from the bigger towns but a great escape from the busy world :). Really liked the calmness of the area with the most beautiful and not too crowded beaches. You should go! X

Really nice hostel, with very friendly and welcoming people, I even got pancakes when I arrived in the afternoon, made by one of the volunteers. And I got an amazing dinner both evenings as well!

There is a beautiful cobblestone beach within a short walking distance with very clear water (you can borrow snorkel gear which is fun).

The view of the ocean and mountains is amazing.

Had a lovely time at this place. Unfortunately I only had time to stay one night otherwise I'd have definitely stayed longer. Dean is a true character with tons of stories and Steffi is just the nicest person. Hope to see you guys again someday :)

This is one of the best hostels in Europe I've ever visited. The host Dean is incredibly friendly and helpful. He even took the whole hostel out on a day trip in his cool VW campervan. The volunteers working there Isabella and Rosa were incredibly welcoming and got me involved in games as soon as I'd arrived to make me bond with the hostel group. Room is air conditioned and comfortable clean mattress with good bathroom facilities. Free parking is a bonus and there are beers, coffee and cocktails in house for affordable prices. Would 10/10 stay here again. Thank you

If you need a (surrogate) family, Stefanie, Dean and their volunteers are there for you. And if they are not enough, there are the crazy but very chill dogs Luna and Buddy. The rooms are as clean as it gets, there's AC and very sanitary bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and big enough even for social distancing. You can join the community for shared dinner or do your own stuff. Every evening theres the potential for party on the big terrace but the windows to the rooms are new and insulated so you'll not be bothered by music or chatter. The view to Brac is amazing. And even though the way to the beach is partly steep and rocky, it is doable even with little kids. And the beach is quiet and nice. Good for the occasional snorkeling or cliff diving (1 to 7 meters)... Will come back for sure...

First of all the hostel owners are both absolutely lovely and Dean has one of the best characters I've met in a long time. Also everything is very modern and super clean, there is always things to do there during day and night. I'd highly recommend anyone to come here over summer ! Thank you for everything!

Hostel Dalmatia is the best hostel I have ever visited. If you want to surround yourself with genuine good people, treat yourself and book a room here. The hosts are nice people and really make you feel welcomed.

Next to that the location is breathtakingly pretty, the beach is a small walk away and has place to relax in the shade or big rocks to jump from.

Spend some time here, you deserve it.

You can summarize your stay with one word: PERFECT!

SERIOUSLY the hosts are super friendly, helpful and just cheerful.

The room are clean, well equiped and air conditioning.

The bar serves you everything what you need after a long beach day.

The beaches are just around the corner and reachable within 5 minutes.

Restaurants are 5 minutes walk too.

You can eat there too, you hust cook once for everyone and the rest of the stay you can join the dinning table.

Beautiful hostel, which is not only impressive for the location, with beautiful beaches at 5 min and an awesome view but because they create an incredible atmosphere, especially with the dinners or the activities they create. The hostel is clean, and with an incredible decoration, perfect if you want a rest but also with the opportunity to meet spectacular people and places.

If heaven was a place on earth this would be it. Been here many times and I always had an awesome time. The owner Dean is from Texas and together with his girl Stephanie they will make your stay memorable. Right by the Dalmatian sea and 5 min walk to beach. Luna, a border collie, will greet you with a ball in her mouth:) Great people here every time. Best hostel ever! Period! ❤

since the first second I arrived, i felt welcome. since the first second I was already worried that i couldn't stay longer than one night.
the hosts are so kind and they gave me the keys to lock my bike, showed me around and described the way to the beach.
it is my favourite hostel and i will definitely come back!

Me and my boyfriend spend a very good time at the Hostel Dalmatia as volunteers. The hosts are the most lovely people and the place is just beautiful with a incredible energy. "Where the mountains kiss the see and the guests become family". If you're going to Maruciti, you should go have a beer there, and spending some days ;)

Amazing experience. Hostel is owned by a friendly american guy and there is always nice community around. We were having fun with the other guests, playing games, drinking, practising yoga, jumping from the cliffs, sharing our meals... One of the best stays ever.

Friendliest owners/hosts on the coast! Beautiful views from the patio and rooftop terrace. Nice amenities, kitchen (huge) and bar, as well as other common areas. Definitely check availability well in advance if possible, but don't be shy about trying to make last minute arrangements here. It's worth the try!

We were in an airbnb accomodation in Pisak and in the middle of the night (00:30) found out there is a rat in the apartment and we decided to leave the place immediately. I called Dalmatia hostel and hoped someone answer the phone. Fortunately yes, a nice, kind and very welcoming woman (Steffy) answered the phone. She was so kind and warmly told us yes you can come and check in now.
When we got there she woke up and came to welcome us.
The room and bathroom were so clean and modern furnished.
I really am happy that we found this wonderful hostel with a wonderful view of the sea.
I highly recommend this hostel to everyone and would stay here in my next visits.

Hostel Dalmatia is truly indescribable. We felt like we were joining old family and friends when we arrived, receiving a cooked meal, beer and good conversation. Just for the view you would think this place is high dollar, but Hostel Dalmatia has the most affordable rooms in the area. Dean took us down to the beautiful beaches that surround his hostel and even let us borrow his snorkels and beach towels. Every evening we get to enjoy the sunset over the Adriatic Sea while sipping the best selection of Croatian wine (only 20 kuna for the bottle!) At the risk of sounding cliche, I must say this place is heaven on Earth. Book a room, make some friends, and have the time of your life at Hostel Dalmatia!!

Apsolutely amazing place. Definitely recommend. Hosts are super nice, place is really clean and spacious. Beach 5min away and mountain 10. Best is definitely worm welcome in this place, astonishing 😁 I'll definitely come back.

Such a cool place to visit and stay in. Dean and Steffi were perfect hosts and we fell in love with their dogs, certainly will be back. It is a place where you meet lovely people, go for beautiful walks, snorkel or swim in the sea.
