Canyon Kamacnik

This beautiful hiking trail leads to the spring of Kamačnik river. It takes about one hour to reach the spring. You can park your car really close to the entrance.
The trail is mostly a beaten path, with gravel and small rocks throughout. It's not possible to cycle on the path. It's also not advisable to take kids younger than ~6 years.

A nice hike of 2-4 hours depending on your speed. It has a lot if action: bridges, stairs, cliffs, info boards, benches, a highway 20 floors above you (not disturbing at all), and breathing views. Our 3-generation group had a 5-year-old kid and a 70+ couple in it, we did the tour in 3h. The path is OK, slippery when wet but not dangerous when dry. Entrance from the restaurant costs 25 kunas (except for little kids). Take a jumper, you'll need it in the canyon. Restrooms are available at the start of the trail. There are plenty of parking spots near the restaurant.

This is good place for one day trip in nature with some easy hiking. The nature is beautiful. The track goes above small river till the spring. The water is probably to cold 🥶 for most of the people to take a swim (something like 6°C even on hottest summer days). The track is ok even for children but you need to be careful since it is slippery and there is no fences and on some places track is relatively high above river.

Less then an hour drive from Zagreb, was not crowded even on a weekend - a perfect short day hike. Recommended.

The nature is amazing. In my opinion the best part of the stream is near the beginning of the walk. Along the path you can find few public instruments including a very fun deer calling pump. The path is very peaceful and beautiful to walk. There are some interesting plants along the way. Little to no bugs and an easy walk. Definitely recommend.

Nature of Gorski Kotar at it”s best. Nice walk through the canyon takes approximatly an hour or so to reach the source (easy hiking).Little complicated with little children in winter because the path is pretty much slippery.

Great nature, nice and easy track. Not long. During winter snow should be careful. The track has secure lines to hold with hands if there is ice. The restaurant is well organised and the food is great

Spectacular nature preserve in the heart of Gorski kotar - the canyon of Kamačnik river. You can hike to the spring of river and back to the restaurant in 2-3 hours, depending on pace and resting time...

Beautiful place to visit for a day. Easy but interesting trail with great restaurant near the entrance.

Please be careful not to park your car 15 meters in front of the railway because police is standing here and the fine is 300 kn.
The entrance is 25kn, the nature is beautiful and peaceful! :)

The enterance fee is 20 kn (about 2,50€) but it's a 3,5km trail worth every Kuna. :-)
Canyon is wonderful, clean air, clean water, clean nature...please take your garbage with you, do not through it anywhere there.
There's a lot parking lots around the Park enterance.
Go there and see it all for yourself. :-)))

I had some varied emotions visiting this place. The water in the stream makes one wet. The trees block your view of the forest. The waterfalls continuously make sound. What baffled me more is that the birds didn’t take any song requests. This area could also use more pavements and buildings.

Very nice, beautiful nature.... We did not eat this time but it looks and smells very good! Next time...

The trail of the Kamačnik canyon, about 3200 m long, is easily passable for all ages and does not require special physical fitness. The canyon can be hiked in two hours of pleasant walking.

Approx. 3h walk till spring. Easy walk but still need walking shoes. Great and organized food / drink stalls.

Beautiful walking trail and not much crouded in winter time

Perfect spot to escape from crowded sea shore during summer. Tepratures around 20C during August.

Beautiful nature, peace and quiet. Well worth walking around if you have 2 extra hours to spare.
