Konoba Volta & Sobe Ela

Kojoba Volta is our go to place to eat in Fuzine and also whole Gorski Kotar. The food is very good, by sure to try all their homemade soups. Plus the meat is tasty, waiters very friendly and the while atmosphere is very cozy. Also warm in winter. It's better to reserve in advance.
Be sure to try the duck breasts.

The best deer stew with bread dumplings! Nice rustic interior design, cosy atmosphere. Great service.

This was a really pleasent surprise ...to be honest - I was more than lucky to find a table without reservation 😊 ... the food I've ordered definitelly explain the need for earlier reservation ...
Starting with a homemade beef broth with noodles and carrot (forgot to take the picture) ... continuing with domestic chicken breasts with sweet potato cream and suteed vegetables ... and finishing with a "sexy strudel" 😂 ... yes, you've read it well, I suppose the name comes because of honey and walnuts (it is homemade apple strudel topped with walnuts and a honey drizzle)
So, my recommendation - pick up your phone and call for a reservation 😊

🇺🇸 EXCELLENT FOOD!! Everything is NICELY prepared and comes in great quantities! I had a filled horse patty and my wife had deer stew. And when we were done and thought we couldn't eat more the waitress suggested we try their strudels. So my wife had one with cheese and blackberry filling and I had with apple, honey and walnuts. And it was SO GOOD!
One thing that could be better, they serve you standard (dry) bread from the store and CHARGE you for it whether you eat it or not. I don't mind that small charge, but I would like to get homemade bread for that.
If you are coming over the weekend be sure to call and reserve beforehand.
There isn't any dedicated restaurant parking but there is ample parking space nearby.
If you are near Fužine be sure to visit!

🇭🇷 ODLIČNA HRANA!! Sve je SUPER napravljeno i dolazi u velikim količinama! Ja sam jeo punjenu pljeskavicu od konjetine, a moja žena gulaš od jelena. I kad smo bili gotovi i mislili da više ništa ne možemo pojesti, konobarica nam je preporučila da probamo njihove štrudle. Pa je moja žena probala punjenu sa sirom i kupinom, a ja sa jabukom i preljevom od meda i oraha. I bilo je TAKO DOBRO!
Jedna stvar koja bi mogla biti bolja, uz jelo daju običan (suhi) kruh iz dućana i to vam NAPLATE pojeli ili ne. Nemam ništa protiv da platim 2kn za kruh, ali onda želim barem dobiti domaći kruh.
Ako dolazite preko vikenda obavezno nazovite i rezervirajte stol prije.
Restoran nema parking ali ima puno parkinga u blizni.
Ako se blizu Fužina obavezno posjetite!

Amazing restaurant with really unique menu! My chicken was amazing and it really fascinates me you can try a bear meat here!

The service is perfect, the food is excellent (i only didn't like the taste of the strudel)

Great ambience and delicious food. There is a good collection of dishes to choose from in the menu and everything we ordered were topnotch, lamb being the favourite. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a large public parking facility few feet away from the restaurant.

We were looking for some decent food after a long day of hiking and after numerous complains from my wife that she is hungry we decided to eat in Fuzine. We didn't expect much from this place, but boy we were wrong! On a recommendation from a polite female waiter we had some nice and delicious bear and horse meat. All in all very good. Prices are decent. Reservation is required.

Place is very cozy, atmosphere is domestic, food was delicious! But best part of this great experience was waiter Dejan! He gave us great recommendations for food, wine and deserts!
If you are coming on Sunday at lunchtime, as we did, you need to book in advance.

Food is phenomenal, people working there also, place itself is warm and welcoming. After our meal we definitely needed to walk :) and went to Bajer lake which is near the restaurant.
