Cascada El Bejuco

We loved this hike to the waterfall with our guide Ocly (not sure if I write it correctly). It was journey/hike that we loved most. We saw 2 different species of toucans, coral snake, tarantula, lizards, lots of fungi. Our guide taught us about different kinds of plants to eat. The highlight were the termites that we ate and used as natural insect repellent. Kids (8 and 10 years old) do still talk about it. The hike itself goes through a varied rainforest landscape. I enjoyed the smaller waterfall much more than the large one at the end. Definitely recommend this hike when you are in the area. The entrance fee to the park is 8usd per person and the guide was about 30usd. We did only meet one other couple at the start of the hike.
We hiked with our two kids of ages 8 and 10 and a friend. Our daughter was a bit grumpy on the way to the water but full of energy on the way back. Definitely doable with kids. Took us about 4h30 in total.

Great hike up to the main waterfall, saw tarantula's, toucans, coral snakes along the way. You need to bring a guide with you, the hike is easy so not really needed, but we had a very good guide which helped us spot quite a few animals we otherwise wouldn't have seen. With the kids (8 and 10) the hike took about 3 1/2 hours there and back

It's a beautiful but not trivial trail. It took about two hours. The trail was well kept but still don't attempt unless you are ready for for two hours to the waterfall and 90 minutes to come back.

If youre not an experienced hiker be warned it is a little bit technical I'll say moderate level. Especially getting down to the waterfall itself is very technical and a little bit dangerous so dont attempt getting underneath the waterfall unless you are confident. Very beautiful and magical place.

Viaje en Marzo 2024. La entrada para nacionales cuesta L. 100. Extranjeros cuesta 12$. La caminata es increíble, el sendero está muy bien hecho, la cascada es gigantesca, el puente colgante está en muy buen estado. El recorrido puede ser entre 3 a 4 horas.

La caminata es un poco extrema soy guía y siempre trato de que los clientes estén cómodos y contentos a gusto cuando están en el recorrido.

Muy lindo sendero para llegar a la cascada dentro del parque nacional Pico Bonito, es muy importante que chequeen la época en que van a ir, para que el río y la cascada tengan agua y se pueda aprovechar mejor y hacer rafting por el rio cangrejal.
La época de lluvia en Honduras comienza entre Octubre y Noviembre, pero hay veces que se suele correr un poco.

Una aventura increíble poder llegar a esa cascada. Lastimosamente ahorita por el verano casi no tiene agua.

Un sendero hermoso por recorrer, el tramo se realiza en aproximadamente 4 horas entre subir disfrutar de la cascada y retornar. Sin duda alguna una experiencia obligatoria para quienes hacemos senderismo

Si te gusta hacer senderos y tener vistas hermosas te recomiendo este lugar, la cascada suele estar caudalosa en temporada de invierno.

Esta es una experiencia extrema para quienes desean hacer una gran caminata y al final del camino obtener una hermosa vista, hacia la ciudad de la Ceiba, el oceano y la isla de Utila, si eres una de esas personas atrevidas y aventureras ante la naturaleza puedes intentarlo, te gustará.
