Ghana National Mosque Complex

This beautiful Mosque is the largest mosque of Ghana, located in the middle of the city.
Really clean and spacious.

A very big and modern mosque in Accra.
Free for entrance but you will need to wear correct clothes + cover your head if you are a women.
For muslim look for where to pray Al Jummah this is big deal ❤

Turkish style mosque, built with the aid of Turkey, many more things are under construction as per the guard who was showing us around.
When visiting your legs should be covered. And if you’re a woman your head too. Incase you don’t carry your own scarf or full length trousers, they provide some at the visitors gallery(just a tiny room at the entrance).
Women can enter the mosque, by going up the stairs.

Its quite beautiful, and large. It’s the 2nd largest mosque in Western africa.
The only problem was finding our way there, there were no sign boards to get to the complex entrance. We must have asked 10 people for directions. Worth visiting once.

The Ghana National Mosque is the National Mosque of Ghana. It is located in Kanda, Accra. The beautiful edifice was built with financial aid from Turkey. It is a quiet and serene place for prayer and worship

This mosque is the perfect definition of serene, calm, solitude, sacred, meditation and peace-of-mind.

Its a fully gated "community" housing the Grande National mosque, Twinikli secondary school, Hudai complex, and the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) National Office.

There's a strict protocol on what type of clothing you can wear within the community.

One thing I really really loved about the place is their public washrooms. Usually, public washrooms are known to be sub-par but this was IT. The washroom were very clean, had aesthetic arts and with sensor-based lighting systems.

Could a mosque "be" any more surreal???? Lol

Alhumdulillah so very happy I had the opportunity to go to Jummah twice since I've been here in Accra Ghana Masha Allah for giving me this opportunity. In Sha Allah it won't be my last

This mosque always makes me feel proud of being a witness of such amazing edifice… the architecture the design everything is on point… but the only problem is the advert spots on the road side that blocks the view.

Beautiful architectural design and must place to visit when you are in Ghana.

A National Edifice that makes every Muslim in Ghana proud.

If there was a word greater than marvellous, I'd quality this building with it... Or do I say , ' magnanimous'... Jokes aside, this is the most aesthetically enginered building I have seen in Ghana.. Am not surprised I heard it took a decade to build.. Kudos to the Turkish Government for giving Ghana this magnificent edifice...
