Galaxy International School

Pros: A fantastic school in Ghana with 3 locations: 1 in East Legon, 1 in Ashaley Botwe and Tamale. When we first arrived in Ghana from the U S., our child could not write or read well. Now, at age 6, she's reading, writing, adding, and subtracting, amongst other things. The teachers really care for their students, and the class sizes are small. No more than 10 students. Our kids always come home excited to tell us what they did at school. That says a lot. We were looking for a non-religious school that focuses on education, and Galaxy was a good fit. As for academics 100% score. Undefeated.

Cons:
There are too many activities involving parents. Almost every week it is one thing or another. And if you don't go, your kids will be left out--so you find a way.

Secondly, there is a bit of segregation from the European parents to the Ghanaian ones. The Turkish/Lebanese parents tend to stay amongst themselves and rarely talk to the Ghanaian parents. It's strange to see that in Ghana but that is not the school's fault. The school has no control over that so...

But all in all, a decent school.

A very good school. Has always been equipped with modern facilities and they've got good teachers as well.
