Wednesdays are specially designated for markets sales for the Bekwai municipality. Initially, it was only rural folks from surrounding towns such as Adeito, Subriso and other towns who would bring farm produce to sell but these days, people from almost all parts of Ashanti Region bring stuff ranging from foodstuffs, clothings and electronics to sell.
Stuff are usually cheaper on these designated market days.
