The Republic Bar & Grill

It's one of my favorite spots in Accra for nightlife. The music is always good and it's one of the few places that are open every night of the week. This was our regular watering hole. The drinks are strong, the djs will play your requests (most of them), and the food is good. The perfect spot for those hot Ghana nights.

Great experience ❤ with Eco Tour Ghana 🇬🇭 (+233 558712206) we explored Accra city during the day and visit lots of attractions and activities 😍. Later at night we had our first karaoke 🎤 nights at the Republic Bar🥳. We recommend you book all your tours with MR Noisty from Eco Tour Ghana 🇬🇭 to experience real Ghanaian culture ❤.
The food was Nice and the cocktails were Amazing 🤩. Also the service and ambiance was Great as we got to see and meet new people 👌.

Very excellent location when you want to relax and have fun in the heart of the city. The environment is cool, and even though the night life in this area is very active the atmosphere is always cool with a decent crowd.

They have some good cocktails especially the infamous "Kokoroko" that will make you keep coming back for more.

It's located where supermarkets, nightclubs, hotels, transportation and restaurants are easily accessible.

The bar has photos of African freedom fighters as well other world acclaimed philosophers. This place attracts a lot of tourists.

I will recommend this place everyday to anyone.

I love this place! My third visit to Republic reminded me to leave a review as it’s one of the first places I go when in Ghana. Service is always excellent and the food is delicious. The yam chips here are 10/10 and only on par with Prisons. Drinks are amazing and I just discovered they were all made with akpeteshie! The more you know.
Location is always a vibe and there’s something about sitting on plastic chairs in the middle of an Oxford street side street enjoying life.

This restaurant usually come alive in the night time. It’s mostly a sit out because it’s more like an open space. I frequent this bar while in Ghana because it was affordable and a really cool place to just sit, listen to good music, eat good food, meet and interact with new people and just enjoy the fresh night air. I highly recommend

Listen, this is a must visit location!!! Try the KOKOROKO… but be careful it will sneak up on you in a wonderful way. The atmosphere here really takes form at night with street side outdoor seating that will almost certainly be sprinkled with personalities from around the globe… food is delicious but the street tilapia on the corner about <100 meters away is also spectacular. This is the place to sink into the Accra vibe and experience why so many people are choosing this as one of their favorite stops on their journey to Ghana!

Chilled out place. Some evenings they have a dj outside who plays good music to chill out to. Great house cocktail. I can't remember what it is called, but it's the purple coloured one. I visit there every time I'm in Ghana. Love the place.

I don't even know where to begin in describing my always positive experiences at The Republic Bar and Grill. It is ALWAYS my first stop when I get into Accra. I mean, where else would you go first??!!! The food- you just can't go wrong. The service-their CROWNING jewel of attentiveness, great logistics, attention to the customer and clear communication. All the servers do their job well and competently- much props and respect to the manager(s) and owner(s).

Atmosphere? Bruh, I have always loved the vibe abd each visit there has been something slightly different, organic, lively and refreshing. You will meet all kinds of folks and personalities; all there to have a great time and share their love of life and laughs. So if you were on the fence about going there or curious, you can thank me later :-)

Tuesday nights karaoke is WHERE ITS AT

The reviews of people saying they don’t understand the hype I don’t think these people understand Ghana at all! There is something so humbling about sitting by the roadside until 3 am on a weekday vibing, to great Afrobeats, that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

For food, I always get the meatballs. They’re easy to snack on as I sip on the famous hibiscus koko drink.

I believe the owner will be starting to serve some chick soon with a very special secret recipe. I can’t wait to try it.

Nice friendly environment. This bar is mostly for a younger crowd, but is relaxing enough for the 50+. It has a live DJ and nice outdoor seating.

Very chill and friendly bar, incredible service :) The cocktails are delicious and the food options are tasty too. Great DJs too, every night.

Republic bar has a great atmosphere. It has a small inside space but it's more of an outdoor venue featuring a DJ playing AfroBeats.
Try a large "local favorite" and one of their shots. Warning it packs a punch 😂 the booze is local so make sure to try even if you don't drink often. How often do you get local hard liquor and not the same old booze?

Absolutely recommend this place, every day something different is happening like karaoke, DJ. Staff friendly and drinks are very unique

Love love love! The ambiance was welcoming, friendly oriented, the drinks were definitely strong and concocted well. Stew chicken with potato and yuca chips were very flavorful!!

The DJ was spinning all kinds of great music around the diaspora. One of my favs.
