Colwod Designs

Colwod Women's Co-op of Tamale was set up to help women who were unemployed or in abusive situations. The women here are taught how to batik, weave, sew and create all the goods sold at the Co-op.
All kinds of textiles can be purchased here! From the hand-dyed material itself to items like table clothes/napkins, women's dresses and men's shirts, children's clothing, batik wall hangings, dolls, parent/child matching apron sets, hair accessories, pillow cases, cushion covers, coin purses, potholders, purses, and so much more.
The women here are wonderful and very helpful! It's a great place to pick out some fabric for a new dress or buy unique items as a keepsake or as a gift for a loved one.
