A wow experience for sure. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Quite an educational and fun activity to learn about the forest and culture simultaneously. A great activity for team building if corporate group and fun for family and friends.

Most definitely one of the must visit places in Ghana as a tourist. Being surrounded by majestic trees and soothing sounds of nature is an experience that lives on for a while. The small museum was most definitely a pleasant surprise. The restaurant also serves really good food; both locak and continental dishes. You could also get some cocoa fruits and organic honey to buy. It also has a few African gift shops. It's a family friendly place.

Exceptional place if you are interested in birds. Go early (6am but anytime before 10am should be ok) and you'll have the canopy walk to yourself -- it will be teeming with birds (you can easily see 40+ species in a couple of hours).

I’ve been there both dry and raining season and I enjoyed it. The museum that was added recently has made it even more informative as you get to learn more about the national park. If you love adventure this is the destination for you when you are in the central region.

The climb up and down kicks my butt because I'm out of shape, but walking on the Canopy Walkway is absolutely worth it!
The guides are great and look after slowpokes like me, while still taking care of the main group.
If you come to Ghana, make time to come to Kakum. It's awesome.

Be prepared to walk. No sandals or slides. I recommend a comfortable sneaker or boot

We really enjoyed our time here. Of course we did the walk way! I thought it was really cool to see the forest from the treetops. It felt safe and was well done in terms of experience. It give a perspective that you can’t get from the forest floor. The hike to the beginning of the walk way is steep and some people felt it was challenging but if you’re in decent shape it’s not hard. It is hot though so definitely bring (or buy) water. I highly recommend a bag or backpack so you have your hands free while on the walk way. My bag was too small for my water bottle and I wished I didn’t have to have it in my hands. If you have a fear of heights, this is probably not the activity for you. We also did a hike in the forest floor which I quite enjoyed in comparison to being in the canopy. Our guide was great, a local guy who’s been doing tours for 7 years. We read terrible review for the restaurant so we didn’t plan on eating there but we watched people get their food in a decent amount of time. We had ice cream and beers and that was a nice treat. Parking is 5 cedis and then the canopy and hike had a fee, non Ghanians are quite a bit more. We were staying in Elmina and the drive was pretty easy, road is in decent condition and there were no police checkpoints. We made it in less than an hour. I know people do it but coming from Accra would take so long. It’s not far in distance but travel time is very slow in Ghana. I highly recommend traveling to cape coast or Elmina and then going to Kakum.

The best surprise! If you love nature hiking and a zipliney-type bridge walk (canopy walk), you should visit.

Was fun and adventurous, serene and natural environment in direct contact with nature. I really enjoyed the canopy walk, though it was scary and talkless of the climbing and hiking that goes along😅🤌🪁

Awesome experience. Hiking guide was patient, knowledgeable and friendly but then again most Ghanaians are 💜. The canopy walk is an awesome way to face your fear of heights 😆 and hiking through the rainforest is an amazing way to connect with Mother Nature.

A fun and scary canopy walkway. Kakum National Park is a rain forest that plays a very important role in Ghana's ecosystem. You'll learn fun facts about this forest and the amazing animals that resides in them. And then enjoy some fresh coconut on your way down from the hike.

Had the Best Experience 😍 on our visit. Our Tour Guide🥰 was very Experienced and very knowledgeable 👌about the medicinal parts of the plants during our Nature Tour🇬🇭. Contact MR Noisty on +233 558712206. 👌🏖

The canopy walk was the best aspect of the Adventure ❤. The same walk way has 7 layers which has different lengths. It’s 450 meters above sea level. 🖤😍. Contact Mr Noisty on +233 558712306.

A very adventurous place, it’s my second time here and this time I wasn’t that scared when I was on the suspended bridge.

I realized you get more scared on your first time and that’s fine, should you try again, you won’t get that scare.

The tour guides are very friendly and they have enough time for you to take your pictures, especially if you came with a family.

It’s a very daring adventure and you should try it!

Wow! What an awesome place! We did the Canopy walk which was pretty high but we felt safe the whole way round! Our guide Diane was FANTASTIC!!! We continued after the canopy walk with the 1hr long forest walk and it too was AWESOME!! We learnt so much about the traditional medicines and trees! We tried Coco on the up to the canopy walk and then had a refreshing Coconut on the way down.. we did get pretty sweaty so recommend wearing loose fitting clothes and not sandals if going on the forest walk. 100% will go again!!

What a wonderful and scary experience. I was petrified on the canopy bridges but I did all 7. The hike up to the canopy was bumpy and a bit challenging but I made it with the guidance of Ophelia. She was so sweet and encouraging. I would recommend it to anyone who come to this area of Ghana.
