Mt. Gemi

Mount Gemi is located in Amedzofe in the Volta Region of Ghana. The hike to the mountain can take about 20 to 30 minutes depending on one’s speed.Scenery from the mountain top is absolutely stunning.Will encourage visitors to the site to carry insect repellents to prevent bites

The receptionist were very nice. Paid about 30ghc ie less than 3$ per person and went up with a tour guide. Took about 15-20mins for the climb. View from the top was slightly obscured due to the terrible weather. There were these small insects that were kind of a nuisance but overall great experience and great view. The inhabitants are very receptive. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful place to visit. Even though the mountain is about 2,700ft above sea level, the climb is quite smooth and not too steep.

It's a few walking distance to the top of the mountain.

The tourist centre makes you pay 50 cedis to come here and want you to use a guide for a 15min walk. Don't bother just come and go up and maybe no one will bother you.
