Vakpo Senior High Technical School was established first as a continuation school in 1975 and transformed into Experiment Junior Secondary school in 1978 .
It was later converted to Secondary Technical School in 1991 with active involvement of Commodore Steve Obimpeh, The Chief and Elders of Vakpo and Entire Community.

Three major Programmes were offered at inception of the school. These include Agricultural Science, Home Economics and Technical Programmes.

It is one of the model senior high schools in the country.

The school now offers six programmes. These are -Technical
