Unique experience to stay right on the beach. Very fair prices and super welcoming host.

Pap’s is on a mission to build compost toilets for the village - support the cause by staying at Pap’s.

Such a wonderful yet magnificent piece of a village, the hut made of thatch and the sand with mosquito net living style of bedroom, the atmosphere, been a really exciting amount of time spent here, I'm coming back. Enjoyed a boat ride as well.

Very nice accommodation with a welcoming, safe and friendly atmosphere. Pap is eager to make the stay perfect, organised a bonfire and helped us finding the right boat trips. Canoe tour with Winner was relaxing and informative at the same time. Highly recommended!

Great place on the beach, I fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Love the simple beach huts, walks on the beach, the homemade food and having a cold drink from the bar. And then there is Papa - always smiling, helpful and ready to show you the local area. If you want an experience off the beaten track, this is really the place to go.

If you expect luxury, this is not the place for you.
If you expect amazing people, authentic and delicious food, fantastic view and a calm environment this is for you!
Not a place to charge your phone, but a place to charge your body and mind.
We loved staying here. We have been here more than once, and we are definitely coming back.

My favourite experience so far in Ghana. Stayed at Meet Me There and had a boat ride here with friends. Got to meet the local kids, we took some stuff to give out (toys, balls, bats etc). Had a great (humbling) day. Paps has a few huts now so could stay the night. Fantastic.

I was there in April 2023. The ambience is so beautiful. Food is also very good and the people are very friendly. The compost toilet was always clean.

I call this pure luxury away from home. Great beach views and aesthetics, warm hospitality, great food and breezy nights. Best tip, sleep in a tent on the beach outside or rent a thatched hut.
Keta has one of the best coastlines in Ghana. Paps Beach Camp is a wonder!

Staying at Paps Beach Camp was simply a treat. Not far from Accra, this gem is a great way to escape the city. Based on a small island, Paps Beach Camp is located in the midst of a small fishing community.

I enjoyed my stay their very much, also because Paps is a great host. Wherever he can, he tries to make sure that you are welcomed at his place. If I have the chance, I will visit again - and highly recommend the place to anyone who does not expect a luxury, compound resort - but a lovely get away with its own charme.

Paps also offers a couple of activities. For me, the kayaking has been great fun. For the turtle walk just be sure to not expect to see turtles - given that they are free animals you may (not) see them. This was the case for me, but I still enjoyed the experience of the night walk.

The food is also great and for those who struggle like me with the spiciness of Ghanaian food, I can assure you that it is nicely adapted (altnough I am very sure you can ask for pepper if you want to).

This was one of our favourite spots in all of Ghana. Laid-back, likeable host, very good food and lovely location steps from the surf. Highly recommended.

What a hidden gem!
This place is definitely the perfect place to escape the noise of the cities and enjoy some peaceful days in hammocks between coconut trees with the sound of the sea in the background.
The food was always fresh prepared and delicious!
During my stay we went on a "turtle walk" at night to look out for turtles laying eggs so we could bring them to the hatchery close to the camp. There the babies can hatch safely before being released to the ocean.
So a great place to support the local community and the conservation of sea turtles as well.
Thanks Paps for this lovely time!

Despite the very basic facilities, Paps Beach Camp exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic, and we felt genuinely welcomed by the friendly staff. Plus, it's admirable to see the owner's efforts in supporting the local community. Highly recommend this special place. All the best for the future!

The best spot to chill a few days away from the commotion !
Located on a sandy stretch between the Atlantic and a volta tributary, Paps beachclub has it all. Hamocs on coconut trees, cozy huts made out of palms (with mozzy net), a good chef and even some wifi if needed.
To sweeten the deal, at night, you can join a patrol walk aiming to find turtles that come ashore in great numbers on these beaches to lay their eggs. The aim is to protect them from poachers, collect the eggs and burry them safely in the on-site hatchery. Should you be lucky, you might awake to a nest having hatched and bring the young to sea ! A great opportunity to witness a local conservation project first hand.
Bring a book, and relax !

One of the hidden gems in paradise. Paps Beach Camp is the perfect place to relax and meditate while listening sounds of the ocean. Here you can also enjoy traditional dishes cooked to order or even enjoy a tour on the lagoon to Ada Foah. There is an onsite bar stocked with local and imported beverages. If you want a place for peace and tranquility then look no further. Papa, the owner, is a great host that will welcome you as family from the moment you come into contact with him. I will be a return guest on my next visit to Ghana and I highly recommend Paps Beach Camp to everyone.

Amazing experience of beach life in a genuine Volta region fisherman’s town, with the best local guidance by Paps, the owner of the camp.

Sure this is a simple (and therefore cheap) place to stay. No power in the rooms. But it is clean, and the crew make life comfortable with excellent fresh food, cold drinks and plenty of activities. one night it was too hot to sleep in the bamboo hut, so Paps made our bed outside (with mosquito net of course) to sleep under the stars!

We were the first kitesurfers here. Great winds, excellent downwinder possibilities with the help of local boats. Unique experience for us kiters, and for the local community :-)

Paps is such a nice guy and his place is so beautiful!!! If you got the chance you should definetly gooo! The beach is huge and clean and the cabins are really cosy and the food is delicious especially the fish. I just wanted to chill and read so it was perfect for me. But if you want to do more than that paps will keep you busy and gives you things to do like kayak or showing you the village or taking you to the market... you can also play games there like volleyball.

How to get there from Accra:

1. You have to take the Tro Tro from tema or tudu Station to Keta but tell the Driver to let you out in Savietula. (Will take around 3hrs and coast like 20ghc)

2. From there you take a shared Taxi to the anyanui harbour. (20min, 3ghc)

3. Probably is Paps waiting there for you and you take a boat together to the village.
(10min, 5ghc)
