Rhostio Speciality Coffee

As a regular who’s come here almost every week for 2 years, I can say that this is easily my favourite place in Cardiff! They have very knowledgeable and passionate (not to mention kind, friendly and hilarious) staff.

The interior design is immaculate and the atmosphere is always perfect! They also host great events with live bands/comedy. It’s on the pricey side, but I think it’s worth it, especially hearing the owner’s exiting plans for further renovations! It’s also dog friendly :)

It’s a great spot to study, but there are limited tables that allow laptops, so sometimes it gets tight for workspace. Also there’s no free wifi at weekends. This is just because the turnaround got real slow - since it’s so nice, people wanted to stay and study all day (us included!). The rules for laptops and wifi definitely help the atmosphere, because it keeps the place more social!

They also sell great beans that they roast here, and coffee equipment :)

Our favourite things to get are the vegan chocolate cake, the toasties, lattes, and V60s!

went here on sunday 17th december around 10am and ordered the cheese and spinach omelette and the lemonade cold brew. my friend got the chocolate and banana pancake stack and cappuccino- we both really enjoyed our food and drink! service was very good and the staff were lovely to speak to. definitely recommend.

Lovely and relaxing cafe and meeting space with welcoming staff and superb coffee. An excellent option for socialising, working or just sitting with a book. Also does events and has food options if required.

Such a great atmosphere and I love the staff !! Lovely service and people. However I feel that the no laptop and WiFi rules and 90 min maximum stay is a bit harsh. Love the inside though what a great vibe! On the pricier side.

Don't know how many times I visited this shop but I am pretty sure The Dirty CHAI is my fav hot drink in my life so far, so creamy and nicely flavoured.

Excellent, had a delicious coffee, great atmosphere, plenty of seats and tables.

The service at rhostio is impeccable. Imogen went above and beyond for me to have the perfect night. To top it all off the tunes were litty.

The cold brew lemonade is a game changer. Flat white was a nice coffee too. Would of been nice to have had a selection of cake or snacks. None were on offer as it was the day before the delivery.

A huge space where you can sip on delicious coffee while working on your stuff. The staff is really friendly and the service is very good.

We’ve been here for celebrating 🥳 my husband and gather with friends.
People are enjoying here as it’s friendly atmosphere mainly young people studying and chill out. Plenty of options not just coffee but surprisingly beers or beverages.
We haven’t ordered food but sweet lovely cakes 🥰! I posted pictures!

A lovely, well presented space offering delicious coffees and other drinks. Beautiful building, inside and out. A speciality coffee shop that is reflected in the prices of the drinks. Would recommend the coffee, looking forward to trying the food :)

Came here spontaneously, as we stumbled across Rhostio on a rainy morning walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the coffee was sublime.

Never would expect to hear Haruomi Hosono in a cafe on a Sunday, cool place, good tunes

The place is very good to focus spend time for meeting with friends. Also delicious coffee and atmosphere. Very kind service staff. Highly recommended.
