Bought our Eovolt folding electric bikes back in September and took them back this week for their first check over. Lovely to catch up with everyone in the shop again. Another perfect purchase from John and his team at Richards Cycles. From chatting about the right road bike for me to delivery and fitting the process was great. Such a friendly and professional team. Absolutely loving my Liv Avail Advanced road bike, it’s a dream and they’ve definitely advised me on the right bike for me (shame about the weather though). If you’re considering Di2 electronic shifters, GO FOR IT, they are a game changer and make changing gear so much easier. Thanks guys! Delighted once again.

Great customer service, fast turnaround and a reasonable price. Hopefully found a way of preventing frequent punctures on my buggy with these tyres wrapped around the old ones.

The most brilliant service. We had a front gear changer fail and it’s not possible to get parts due to the age of the bike. The mechanics came up with a solution that means we will be able to complete our Lands End to John O Groats tour. I’d totally recommend JM Richards as a stop off for parts and repairs. Amazing friendly service from this business during the UCI Gran Fondo. They were a great help with my accessory needs, but I also saw their patience and help with a constant stream of riders needing impromptu help with their bikes.

JM Richards saved my weekend during the UCI Worlds Grand Fondo. I had two incidents that required work on my bike and without their expertise I wouldn’t have made the start let alone the finish. A great team effort during a very difficult weekend I highly recommend them.

John talked me through the options of the bike I was interested in, options for the upgrades I required and nothing was too much trouble. I've bought many bikes over the years and this is up there with the best experience. I now have my bike and totally blown away by it. Brilliant workshop! Broke a spoke on a trip and they took my wheel and fixed it 10 mins before closing, even though they said the workshop was full. Friendly and very helpful staff, would recommend this shop to get any repairs made.

Arrived with a broken spoke in an awkward to service wheel, the shop sorted me out in an hour, new spoke, new rim tape and tubeless set up. Workshop time was mega good value as well. Brilliant service.

Faster than a formula 1 pit change!

I was up in Perth competing in the UCI Gran Fondo World championships . So an important day for me. On the way to the start line I punctured. Tried a tubeless plug, but it didn’t hold.

With 15 mins to go to the start of the race, the guy next to me called Richards cycles.
It was 5 mins away. I got their, where the staff were ready and waiting to do the fastest ever tyre change I’ve ever seen!

Made it back to the start line with 2 mins to spare.

Really excellent service. Friendly, honest and helpful to a fault.

Visited these guys today urgently needing a new tyre to get me home to Edinburgh. The workshop was clearly busy but they made a space for me and more than that have my bike a proper inspection highlighting a couple of important issues that I hadn't noticed. All dealt with there and then at a great price.

On a side note it was great to see the interaction with neighbouring business owners popping into borrow a tool. Go support you local shops folks, life is much better when you do!

Can't rate this traditional cycle shop highly enough, not only did they have the new tyre we needed, they also replaced our broken derailleur in minutes and charged next to nothing. Thank you Ally!

Absolute legends saved the day for me when my hub died. I was through from Glasgow for the day and they seen me right away. Very kind and very helpful, I am so happy and so grateful to these guys. Cannot recommend enough 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Was in the shop today for a simple add on to the bike I bought from Richards. It was done quickly at a very fair price and is a solid adjustment. I spoke for some time with the owner who repaired my bikes since I was young. It’s great to know they have been there since before I was born and are still providing a great service and a wealth of knowledge today. Beats any online retail service!!

Got bike serviced at short notice. Very friendly and efficient service. Very good value. Top spot for bike repairs. Shop very well stocked as well. A wee find !!

Love the service at this shop. They have serviced my bike many times now, and it always comes back super-clean and perfectly tuned...like having a new bike! They are also really friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.
