The Green Cafe

Lovely little dog friendly cafe. Staff were very polite and helpful and served very quickly. Very modern, clean and vibrant cafe with a modern take on some traditional Scottish meals and snacks. We just had their take on a fruit scone and coffee and all nice enough. We liked they were trying to put a spin on some traditional food and would definitely return. Only critique is scone came with cream and jam not butter. Cream wasn’t to our taste on a scone but waiter was superb so next time we will definitely ask for butter instead of cream. Beyond that really nice wee cafe.

We had the best sandwiches and conversation here! The staff were friendly and delightful and we loved every bite... no leftovers!

Beautiful Salmon kedgeree with perfect poached egg on top.
Sourdough with poached eggs and griddled asparagus, perfectly seasoned.

Spent £37 on 2 soup and sandwich “artisan panini”, which was actually a pre baked baguette with pasta sauce, soggy crisps and bought in coleslaw. Small portion of average soup and basics 1 slice of brown bread. Pretty depressing lunch for over £18/head
