Gurkha's Nepalese and Indian Cuisine

Fantastic little place - an authentic experience for a very decent price. The food was excellent - especially recommend the Nepalese specialities. Service was also fantastic, genuinely friendly and with a human touch that I hadn't experienced in London in a while. Has a real family business feel and the atmosphere is lovely too.

There was 3 if us that me for a meal here fir a catchbup in a Sunday evening.
It's pretty dark inside I dis find it hard to see the menu, only partly my fault I left my glasses in the car.
We got a warm welcom and shown to our table, it was very busy with almost every table occupied and after ordering our drinks they quickly arrived at the table.
Once we had ordered our food, the poperdoms came quickly, then the starters.
The food was delivered to the table and we didn't have to wait to long it all seemed to be timed really well.
All the food was so so nice we no complains about the food, or the service.
We left a nice tip.and we are all looking forward to going there again.

We've dined in and had many takeaways over the past 20 years and dined in again yesterday. The menu is creative as well as having all the curry favourites. The food is consistently tasty and of high quality with tender meat dishes, great veggie options and different spices throughout. We think the best in the area and a good price too. The staff are friendly and attentive. We shall continue to return and recommend to others. A big thank you and shout out to all staff at Gurkha's 😀

True to it’s roots, this long established restaurant on Sydenham Road is a gem! I have been 3/4 times now with various friends and family and we are always left feeling satisfied.. the food is always to a high standard, and the service is particularly warm and friendly, esp by Pavi who goes above and beyond to make you feel special. Her smile is the added ingredient to what is already a perfect recipe!! The ambience takes me back to the truly authentic Indian restaurants of yesteryear: immaculate white linen, decor in rich colour, uniformed professional staff and seriously good cuisine!! I look forward to returning soon!! The best of luck to you all!!

Incredibly tasty food and tons of options to try new Nepalese and Indian dishes. Good sized portions. Fast and lovely staff. It seemed quiet from the outside, but atmosphere was lovely once inside. Highly recommend. Very good prices

Perfectly balanced Lamb Staff Curry. This dish is absolutely Masterpiece! Totally surprised about how tasty it was! So glad I had a chance to chat with chef and pass the compliment straight to him :)

Excellent - we were looking for a new takeaway in the area and this one did not disappoint. One of the few times I've had a curry and felt nourished afterwards. Really high quality dishes, great range of vegetarian options, and would definitely go back.

I placed a very large order for 14 people last week. The restaurant was very helpful ensuring the order was fulfilled properly - contacting me by email to check for any changes. Nice place to visit with family and sit down for a sumptuous meal. Good ambience and friendly staff, along with the Nepalese and Indian cuisine, means we will be back for sure.

The special fried rice, Chilli chicken, and Veg momos were special, and the Aloo Rayo was something that I had not heard of or tasted before. 😋

One of the most consistently excellent South Asian restaurants I’ve ordered from.

The quality of the Chicken Madras is exceptional. I had their chicken tikka bites as an appetiser and I did not want it to end. Just so tender and melt in your mouth.

It is better than anything in the Curry Corridor in Tooting, on Brick Lane, or anywhere else.

The staff are also exceptionally friendly and the takeaways are always roughly on time.

First time 2 weeks ago and was not disappointed. Fantastic service and great food at a great price. You can really sense the fact it is a family-run restaurant with the warmth and genuine care shown to every table.

Lovely Indian food. Consistently good quality and reasonably priced. Favourite local Indian. Good for both meat eaters and vegetarian.

Great food and service, will come again!
