Angela and team provided a fantastic wake for us this week. A lovely location, super food including GF and vegan, a wonderful atmosphere to celebrate a life.

Thank you to all the staff for a great experience enjoyed by the family and many friends.

What a lovely hotel. From arriving to leaving we were made to feel welcome. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The location is amazing, set in beautiful grounds with wonderful views over the bay. The room we had was spacious with a balcony making the most of the views. The bed was large and very comfortable. Everywhere was clean, tidy and very comfortable and the food was delicious. We didn't have any spa treatments as we were busy sightseeing and didn't get time. However that said The Penrallt was just soo very relaxing. I can't recommend it highly enough and would be hard pushed to find anything negative to say about the place.

What can I say?
What started off as a nightmare trip as The ship Inn said our booking had been cancelled. The Penrallt came to the rescue.
Angela you are amazing and your staff are fantastic. They treat you and your dogs like royalty. Not many places offer beautiful massages in dog friendly places but this one does
The garden rooms were spotlessly clean, dog basket waiting for me four legged friends too.
If you have furry friends book here you WILL NOT be disappointed..
If you don't have furry friends BOOK HERE they offer dog free zones. But who doesn't like dogs? If you don't then I personally think there is an issue anyway.
We will be back guys. Thank you from us all, the break has been worth every single penny. Lots of love x

A very pretty hotel in a beautiful location. The grounds are lovely and we found the hosts to be welcoming and kind. They kept the bar open late for us. Our room was spacious and they were dog friendly. We had nice white sheets and a large television.
Breakfast was plentiful and served in a very pleasant conservatory.

On my return visit this weekend I decided to have a massage, and what a treat that was!

Rachel found the tight spots pretty quickly and worked on them with just the right pressure. Professional and efficient, it was a wonderful massage, thankyou.

My photos don't do the Christmas decorations justice ( I took them too late at night) but gives a flavour of the festive feel here at this time of year.....so cosy!

I’m not one to review often but felt the need to do so here!
Throughout my career I’ve had the benefit of staying at some of the uk’s finest hotels from Grantley Hall to Grosvenor House and the majority of the old De Vere chains across the north.
I’m merely mentioning these which are all well oiled machines having had years of success.
My point here is that this Hotel is relatively NEW, the staff/team are made up of wonderful Local people and at the heart is the NEW manager who could not have done enough for myself and my family.
The team is more like a family than a corporate entity and this comes across in their relaxed style.
Hospitality is tough these days but I really feel they have it spot on. (Read the book in the pics, not just us)
Breakfast was in a word Stunning and we also had a fantastic evening meal with the children.
Nothing was too much trouble at anytime.
I’ve never been anywhere where I’ve personally got to meet the chef, housekeeping and the management.
The hotel is Original in so many ways, Edwardian and tastefully presented.
The grounds are safe for the children to run round and it’s positioned on the hill with the most breathtaking view of the bay and the local town.
We will certainly be returning!
This area really is a little Gem, the local beaches are incredible!
MWNT is a must! So much to do as a family within 10 minutes drive.
Just to add we stopped here for 4 nights then moved on to Bluestone to make a fantastic tour of this incredible coastline!

My husband & I have just returned from a lovely couple of nights at this lovely hotel!!! What a view!!! We were very lucky to be upgraded to the junior suite which was beautiful. The decor really fits the age & style of this stunning old house. The hotel staff were all so friendly & couldn’t do enough for us. Slept like a log both nights in the large very comfy bed!!! The downstairs reception room full of comfy sofas & chairs was a favourite of mine. We will definitely be back! Thankyou for a great stay. Michelle & Jonathan Wicke

Wow! What a view and what a wonderful place to stay.
My partner and I stayed here last year and keep talking about going back.
The hotel is in such a stunning location, Mwnt beach is just beautiful. The hotel is beautifully kept and you can feel how much work and effort has gone into this place as soon as you walk in.
We didn’t eat while we were there but the food looked beautiful. The bar is a really lovely space and the outside areas are stunning due to the views!
Really friendly staff, beautiful room, amazing view. 10/10 from us!

Stayed here on several occasions over the past couple of years, the hotel team were friendly and welcoming. I need to be gluten free and felt well catered for, the last time I stayed I was even given a mini tour of the kitchen by the head chef! The nearby beach is is a lovely spot for swimming.

Stunning location, what a view! Beautiful hotel, fabulous staff, great food and drink, super clean and dog friendly.
I stayed in a super cute garden room, slept amazingly in a super comfy double bed. Lovely and peaceful, so pretty!
Main hotel gorgeous old building, stunning views across the bay, love the lightning tree, sheep and lambs wandering around, bunnies and birds.
The food was fantastic and I loved the local gins.
The spa is lovely, great therapists and beautiful Temple Spa products, perfect way to switch off.
Little town on the coast just down the hill, beautiful beaches, chippy and nice little pub with good beers.
Two days away felt like a week, just what I needed!
Thanks to Angela, Tom and their friendly and professional team, outstanding service and couldn’t have felt more welcome, I’ll be back!

I work at the Penrallt Hotel and love every moment I’m at work. The people I work with are outstanding and some of the kindest people I’ve ever had the privilege to work with.. a beautiful Team!!
I don’t have my own room but I do have the most wonderful working environment and a reception area that is beautiful to work in. I am able to show guests around a beautiful house and hopefully enable them to enjoy all areas of a stunning house and garden

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel to attend a function and would happily rate it more than 5 stars if I could.

The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The TEMPLESPA products including the sleep well mist beside the bed were a lovely touch.

The food was impeccable, the surroundings are lovely and Angela, Tom and the team make sure no stone is left unturned to guarantee a pleasant stay.

Will definitely be returning!

Have eaten Sunday lunch here on a few occasions and have always enjoyed it. The venue is stunning but relaxed with beautiful views of Aberporth. We have a drink in the bar beforehand, sometimes followed by a coffee in the gorgeous drawing room which always has a fire roaring in colder months. Dog and child friendly. Serving staff always helpful and friendly.

Where do I even begin to review this simply stunning country hotel.

From the moment we entered the drive, the beautiful Edwardian building stands proud with the most incredible views over the sea lying beyond it.

The staff were so attentive, warm and friendly, by the time we left, I felt part of the Penrallt family, which is so clear to see in how the team at this hotel work together as nothing is ever too much trouble to them.

The building, the decor and the in-keeping renovations compliment every bit of this hotel. You can see the love that’s gone into bringing it back to life.

My room was just as wonderful, from the smallest detail of the Egyptian cotton sheets, to the designer colour scheme and the strong and powerful shower!!! (So important to me!) On top of that, the views overlooking the sea whilst I was sat having my morning cup of tea, were breathtaking.

The food was impeccable throughout and their wine selection was vast to suit every palate.

The local amenities and activity choices are so varied to suit all ages and the beach walks were just what I needed.

I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. I have told all of my friends and family about how incredible it is and we are definitely coming back, as I can’t wait to experience it throughout all the seasons.

Thank you The Penrallt Hotel for making my stay so special and for making it feel like home from home.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at The Penrallt Hotel several weeks ago. Despite me moaning how far away it was from our home, it certainly was worth the journey once we'd arrived. The views were spectacular and the hotel and staff were excellent. Angela and co couldn't have been more accommodating, two nights wasn't enough. We will certainly be returning, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Under new ownership with a fantastic new chef. This place has gorgeous gardens and a timeless feel about it, the previous history is reflected in some of the pictures on its walls, from officers mess to orphanage. The views over Aberporth bay are glorious. Great things are in the pipeline and worth checking out. As a wedding venue it offers so much.

Beautiful hide away hotel. Really fantastic staff. The hotel chef is really very good. He is a notable yes! if you choose to go stay. The view of the ocean is also not to bad. We went during social distancing and it was very safe and clean. The staff really tried to be as accommodating as possible in as aspects. The hotel is not to far from the beach and in general feels very tranquil.

Just back from an outstanding dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. We used to use the Penrallt fairly regularly some years ago but due to work pressures and more recent complications haven't been for some time. We must say, the new hosts, Angela and Tom are lovely people and the food is out fo this world. All of the staff are very welcoming and make you feel really at home. I am so glad we have rediscovered this Gem and we will be back again real soon.
Please bear in mind as we are local we did not stay at the hotel and therefore our review does not include a review of the guest rooms.
