Dobbies Garden Centre Edinburgh

Had lunch here today and was pleasantly surprised to find that the cafe now has a section for table service, which was excellent. I was shown to a table where my order was taken by a very nice young man. My food was brought out quickly with a smile. I had cheese toastie and chips, which were fresh, hot and tasty.
I am most impressed with the cleanliness and service.

Not only dog-friendly but dementia-friendly.

It’s not easy to queue for food and drinks whilst leaving someone with dementia in the dog-friendly section wondering if they’ve wandered off before you get back to them. The lovely Jordy told me to take a seat and he’d do table service! So much less stress and really appreciated. When I spoke to my friend about it she said they are equally good with Mums with babies. Well done Dobbies staff!

Already done a review for our most frequently visited Dobbies. So in fairness here's one for this one which is nearly 60 miles away from where we stay. Can assure you the visit into the restaurant was well worth the trip. Yes very busy but soon were seated. When ready, the waitress (Margaret) took our order for fish and chips. Noticed that the team are very well organised with their assigned duties. The meals were lovely and enjoyed a wee cake after. As we were leaving said to the manageress (Lynne) that would phone to head office and also do a review.

We love Dobbies Garden Centre. One of the best around Edinburgh. It’s often on the pricey side, but the quality is there—a fantastic selection of plants, furniture, garden furniture and tools. You also have a pet section with aquariums - a great attraction for kids. There are a few other departments: toys, DIY, books, food market, clothes. Cafe, Restaurant and soft play on site.

I brought from there such a beautiful pot and chrysanthemum. They look amazing in front of the main door!

What a place if there was a garden of eaden this would be it.
So not only do you have a mini sainsburys, you have books, clothes ,shoes a lake land, a bbq place, a butchers its almost endless.
I was in awe when I walked in you could quite easily get lost.
There is disabled parking, this is a one stop shop for all your needs. I did not even need things but got lost and ended up with a basket full of stuff.
Oh there is a cafe as well.
Look just stop and look around you won't be dissapointed.
Plants food furniture the list is almost endless.

We had a lovely time there. From food to various other groceries, it's the perfect family day out place. The customer service was lovely and although I wish I had carrot cake, the person who served me explained that they didn't have it and gave me an Eton mess cake instead which turned out to be an amazing choice too.
Would definitely recommend and go back anytime.

I went to the restaurant for breakfast and was surprised on how organised and clean it was. Great service and good food/coffee. A big plus is that you allow dogs. Staff are very friendly and happy to help.

Very good garden centre. Great selection of products for the garden, home, aquarium's, pets etc.
Restaurant is good. Staff very helpful. Site is easy to get round and loads of space for parking.

Fish and chips were great tasting. Nice big piece of fish . Another of gluten-free and vegetarian choices.
Service in store was very good as well.
Well laid out.
Liked our visit.

Great experience yesterday. Went in for a coffee and some cream scones. Staff were very helpful. We bought some noodles to eat in our hotel and staff offered us some wooden cutlery to take with us. Thank you!

Absolutely useless outfit - customer service??
Why have it on the phone system?? If no-one can be bothered answering.
Never mind Pentland plants a small local customer focussed business answer their phone and have what I need.
I know where to go in future ! !

I wonder if there's a spell cast on the staff or other reason, the two Dobbies I have been to, they all carried a genuine smile on their face.
This store was huge, there was a lot to see and I believe one can spend several hours there. The signage was clear so it was easy to locate what I really needed and to go.

Had afternoon tea for 4. Lovely selection tasted great, obviously lol. Birthday celebration 🎂 🎈

Very good and tasty lunch. Seniors lunch is 7.45 Monday to wednesday. Pic is Pork and pepper casserole, Sticky Toffee pudding and custard.

Good variety of goods from clothing to garden to dvds and tropical fish

Restaurant and new look make it 5 🌟, good quality produce and baking and comfortable

Thoroughly enjoyed the soft play with my grandson. Just the right size for his age and not overcrowded

I love this place, if you a person who love pants, this is the best place to go, their price in some products may be a bit higher that in others shop however there is not a big difference, inside you can find a small shop where you can buy fish tank, fish, turtles. Not you you can find plants, as well you can buy anything that may may need for your garden.

Bit of a strange mash up of garden centre and every other type of shop. We found what we needed for our plants and staff were helpful.

We had a most delightful festive afternoon tea. The service was flawless.
