Kindly helped me out gaining some antibiotics I needed while holidaying in the area from England after liaising with my registered GP at home. Staff are very friendly. Nice little community pharmacy.

This pharmacy has a great team working in the shop. I have nothing but praise for these ladies. I have lived in this area most of my life and have used the service for years with absolutely no complaints, the excellent and very professional manner that the assistants and management operate in taking the greatest care of me and my family’s needs is nothing less than outstanding. Emma, is a perfect example of someone who cares about her profession, she has always been very helpful and supportive to us, and nothing is too much trouble for this caring individual. So it’s 5 stars from me and all my family.

Having just read some negative comments about Davidsons in Drymen with great surprise, I felt it important to submit a review to say how fortunate we are to have such a superb facility in our village! The chemist is well stocked and anything which isn't immediately available is willingly sourced and obtained straight away. The staff are unfailingly friendly, helpful, knowledgable, efficient, professional and always willing to go the extra mile to assist. Prices cannot be compared to larger/discount chains, but are not excessive (contrary to one negative review) and the convenience of having such a great choice of items on our doorstep is worth a million dollars - as is the weekly provision and home delivery of my 86 year old mother's prescription. ANTIVAXXER ALERT. The head pharmacist here is a COVID denier and advocate for anti vaccination against Covid. This is INCREDIBLY unsettling and unethical as it is a NHS pharmacy. I went in to purchase some medications whilst on holiday from London and the topic quickly turned to ‘is Covid even that bad in London?’ (Asked by the pharmacy assistant) and then the lead pharmacist proudly told me how he isn’t vaccinated and wouldn’t recommend it. He then started recommending I read up on conspiracy theorists antivaxxers. I was so shocked as I am a frontline NHS worker who has seen the devastating impacts and continuous deaths of COVID-19. I was on my holiday and this was a terrible experience. Please stay away from this terrible pharmacy and find somewhere that uses evidence based practice for its healthcare not baseless and embarrassing conspiracy theories.

I paid £3.45 for a 50ml bottle of TCP in Davidsons Chemist in Drymen yesterday. I remarked that it seemed expensive but the blase assistant simply shrugged. Since I hadn't bought any for a long time, I didn't know, so I paid up.

Just looked it up online. It should have been £1.99.

Shame on you, Davidsons!
