Boursot's Wine Collection

What a lovely place to stop on the way home and buy some wine. The owners are absolutely lovely and so helpful with their advice on what to buy - even when like us you are looking for quantity, they help you get that and still get quality without it costing lots. They had bottles open so that we could taste some wines to see what we liked best, and despite thinking I had opinions on wines from certain regions I was very glad I took their advice as on tasting the Saumur sparkling that they advised (even though previously I hadn’t thought I liked that sparkling wine) it is wonderful and I’m so happy I took their advice.

Worth the time and effort to go here on way to Chunnel rather than big box retailers in Calais. Prices are the same or better, town and shop are lovely, staff are 10x more knowledgeable and friendly.

In and around Pas de Calais there are various little wine merchants who still offer good wine if you're willing to look for them. This is one such merchant. The man knows his stuff, speaks English, and you can pick up a surprisingly good red for around £7 a bottle, and astonishing good ones for £15-20. With the extra fees importers are now obliged to pay and pass on you can find really good potable wines here for UK supermarket prices. Check your allowances and stock up.

We love this place and have visited for the last twelve years. His knowledge and value of the wine is incomparable. Highly recommended. Guy is a helpful lovely English man who trained with the Berry Bros he is a wealth of knowledge and so welcoming...needs to be visited so he can survival the threat of Brexit. We will continue to buy our wines from him. Thank you Guy.

Excellent wine store run by a very enthusiastic Englishman who really knows the French wine industry and as such is a trusted guide to the best value! Wines from just 3.50 so don't be intimidated, he's very friendly.avoid the large warehouses and come here instead, better value, more choice. Easy to find 20mins from Calais

I cannot recommend Boursot's highly enough. We used the handling service to have around 330 bottles of wine delivered to the shop from a couple of different vineyards, and then came over on the ferry to collect them in the car. A fantastic system, which means you can make massive savings by buying direct from the vineyards, so the small cost of storage is a no-brainer.

The owner, Guy, was friendly, straightforward and very communicative throughout, promptly letting us know when the shipments had arrived, and responding quickly to emails and on the phone.

The shop itself has a lot to offer as well, though sadly we didn't have any space to add a couple of further cases to our haul. Next time!

Wealth of knowledge. If you buy from big retails who produce large quantities of wine, then you really need to call here and find out what you are really missing.
I have just sat here and had half a bottle of my usual wine from the UK and opened a bottle from Boursots from the same area and year and what a massive difference.
Very well selected wine and at great prices.
We will defiantly be coming back next time we are in the area.

If you want to buy wine in France and don't want to be faced with the bunkers of Calais. Jump in the car for 15 minutes and head to Ardres. Guy and his staff are extremely helpful, friendly and talk about wine in an open and unpatronising way, even if you are a wine novice. Been here many times and never had a bad bottle. Highly recommend.

Back in England and just drunk our first bottle of merlot bought from Boursot’s in Ardres two days ago. Great recommendation. It was absolutely delicious! Wish we’d bought a lot more! Look forward to drinking the other wines recommended soon.

Travelled to France for a large wine purchase for an event in the UK. Great experience and advice trying a few targeted wines that allowed us to make a terrific selection. Friendly helpful service and lovely lunch spots all around.

We frequent Boursot's wine cellar because he has a massive selection of wines which are not always available this side of the channel.
The service offered is very unique, very popular and very affordable for popular wines. We hope to visit again soon.

We arrived 10 mins before closing - the owner couldn’t have been more polite and accommodating . Good selection at a range of prices- looked strong on Bordeaux Burgundy Sparkling especially but also had Alsace Rhône etc- all on the website I think ..
Parking is near and you can load up outside . recommended !
