La Villa Gallici - Relais & Châteaux

Last Spring my husband I spent a week at this exquisite hotel. We loved the old world charm. The staff was so professional and accommodating. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant and a relaxing day at the spa. Villa Gallici was very convenient to the City Center were we spent most of our days. This is our go to place to stay in Aix en Provence. We are planning another trip this month.

From the warm greeting by Lea, to the opulence of the rooms, the elegance of the high tea, the flavor sensation of dinner, the beauty of the grounds and the prime location relative to the city center, a stay at La Villa Gallici is a gift you should give yourself and your loved ones at least once... We only stayed one day, so did not have a chance to explore all the offerings, but the lovely and attentive staff ensured our short time at this amazing hotel was chock full of wonderful experiences. Anything you can imagine that should be a part of a 5 star is there. Our server at both the high tea and the Five Course Experience Menu was Simon, who was an absolute delight. Fantastic way to start a New Year!

We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Gallici for two nights on our honeymoon. It is a magical place. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The entire team is so kind and welcoming. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the city centre. I would highly recommend Villa Gallici.

Checking into Villa Gallici felt like coming home. The staff was so kind, hospitable, and attentive. We got an amazing room upgrade for our honeymoon as well! Food was amazing, loved doing afternoon tea in the sitting room, and spa was great (we loved Cami!) Plus the decor and vibe was unmatched. We can’t wait to come back. ❤💕

Lovely little gem near the city center with lots of character, so tranquil and yet walking distance to everything. Wonderful Spa area, we especially loved the sauna and ice room.

Service at the restaurant is a bit 'old school' French style, but at reception they were always efficient.

Not suitable for families with young children.

Villa Gallici is a piece of Heaven on earth. We felt like royalty and were beyond thrilled with the entire experience. This is the best hotel we have EVER stayed in, around the world. This hotel should be rated as a 10 star rating instead of 5. Pure perfection.

We tried the spa and it was splendid! Luxurious facility hotel, elegant and century old at the same time, with nice sauna, jacuzzi, Cryon room, top quality projects. Our massage therapist was very professional, knowledgeable and performed beyond expectations. Many choices from warm oils to fragrances enhancing the experience. We were allowed to use the beautiful pool surrounded by the spectacular landscaping and it was a big plus for us. We will definitely come back!!!

This hotel absolutely captured my heart. Every detail was exquisite, leaving an unforgettable impression. The breathtaking atmosphere was only enhanced by the impressive dinner, which was truly exceptional

This is a lovely hotel close to town. I would highly recommend it. The staff was kind and respectful. The rooms were comfortable and rose petals were left on our bed. Everything was perfect and clean. The view from our terrace was beautiful. The highlight was the best massage I have ever experienced by Aurelie. Since I am a massage therapist and have recieved many of them, her massage was so special and healing. She also works on the lymphatic system. She has just the right amount of pressure. The food was great, service at breakfast fantastic, Boris made me a pot of mint tea and brought it to my room. Dinner totally FANCY and delicious. The front desk staff, Amel and Matteo were helpful with every question. We rode our bikes through the beautiful countryside and were able to walk to center of town easily.

Had a good dinner at a high price. Very fancy, great setting, food was good. A very nice experience. Tough to find. Take a taxi, it was all uphill getting here.

Villa Gallici is a most wonderful place !!! The very top for service, grounds, suites and of course the Michelin starred * Food and 🍷 wine. Every one was friendly...not snooty. We loved it.

The hotel was totally fantastic; it is more like a luxury home than a hotel. Every aspect of the hotel - rooms, restaurant, public areas, gardens, pool - were fabulously maintained.
The staff were all very friendly and dealt with any issues very well.
I loved the hotel and it's location was superb; just a ten minute walk to the centre of town.
A wonderful and fantastic holiday

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. My husband and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary and were delighted by our upgrade! The incredible details in the room were breathtaking - the parrots, butterflies, furniture, oh and the bathroom! Would love to have a shower like this at home! The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of and it is a quick walk to the city centre. This is really a gem of a hotel and we will definitely come back!

A dream. I stayed here with my fiance and we were truly treated like a king and a queen. Kind staff, magical place and in just 15 min by walk you arrive in the center of aix.

Beautiful vacation.

In June 2014, I had the great and unexpected pleasure of spending three nights at Villa Gallici as I toured Aix en Provence. The online pictures hardly did it justice,as this hotel experience was top shelf in every regard.

My room was two full stories,with the second floor, a gigantic bathroom filled with wonderful local bath products. My room was in a quite area which was gated so I could sit on a lounge chair and inhale the aroma of the soon to blossom lavender. When I felt like being more social,I went down to the pool area ,which is near the outside dining area. The one dinner I had there was superb.

Upon arrival,the valet took my car and I didn't need it again until I left Aix for other parts of Provence. The hotel is up a slight hill and a few blocks from the frenetic pace of the town,which I preferred. I would walk into town every morning,have a wonderful croissant and cafe au lait and walk for miles,taking it all in ( and doing more than a bit of shopping while sightseeing.)

Several days a week the town has open air markets which were so much fun to peruse, and since the region is known for its fabric,I bought some table cloths as well as plenty of lavender- scented products.

If you have the opportunity to visit Aix and stay at Villa Gallici,you will fall in love with it and will find it hard to leave. Returning is on my bucket list.

If you are looking for a place with lots of attention and privilege as service, this is the place you should come and stay over.

A truly special Hotel with refined luxury and great taste. It is also a nice place for fine dining.If you are looking for a place to relax and indulge, Villa Gallici is definitely a good option.
