Pizza de Peppo

Super pizza place with a traditional bread oven they showed us with pride. Not really somewhere to go for anyone with gluten intolerances. Nice house red wine and staff were great. It was a long wait though, we had to go away and come back and hour or so later as it was so popular. Worth coming back for though!

The pizzas are super good, the quality of the food is good, also the drinks, the owner is very kind just has to improve the speed of the service.
I recommend it, it is a must to try.

We only had drinks here, by the river, but the service and location are great! I'm told it's often the only place open in the mid-afternoon.

After 2 years of Covid-19 we were finally again in Tarascon-sur-Ariège to visit Peppo.
Best pizzeria in the Pyrenees, both north and south of the border.
If we were living on the other side of the border we would be there every week. Besides the fabulous quality of the pizzas the treatment by the owner(s?) and the waitresses is commendable.
Hope to visit you again soon.

Authentic neapolitan pizzas (not always the case in France), delicious and generously sized, and very reasonably priced, lower than the average for France. Lovely outdoor eating area by the river. We ate there on a Saturday night in early August so naturally it was busy and we had to wait a little for each course. However the two waitresses coped admirably (with at least 60 covers that evening) providing a professional yet personal service. Finally I should mention that the covid 19 sanitary measures were well respected. Waitresses and pizzaiolos wearing masks, no indoor seating and sufficieng space between tables.

Excellent pizza and calzone 😀 chefs were happy to substitute chorizo for ham and atmosphere was cosy and local.

Au top 👌 servis rapidement et cuisine ouvert assez tard - parfait pour les vacanciers et les locaux - pizza très bonne et énorme en taille pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable de nos jours. Si vous avez de la chance vous aurez la vue sur la rivière en contre bas. Si vous passez dans le coin et que vous voulez une bonne pizza c’est ici qu’il faut aller.
