L'Orchidee - Restaurant gastronomique Mulhouse - Altkirch

We booked a table at l'Orchidée for the birthday of my partner and we spend an amazing evening. The service was friendly, efficient and very professional. We choose starters, mains and dessert à la carte and were well advised by the young sommelier in regards to the wines to order with our respective dishes. The Tom Yam was simply divine and the crabs to be eaten in their entirety were definitely something we never tried before. Both fish dishes (main course) were excellent and the desserts rounded up a perfect dining experience. The quantities were pretty important and I had trouble finishing my plates. We can definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Thai cuisine with a twist. We will be back !

A must in the region, for an exceptional first star. We went for our wedding anniversary, it was incredible. It is my favorite gastronomy souvenir in my whole life (and I am French!). Thank you to the chef and an incredible team, especially the Sommelier!

Excellent weekday lunch menu at an unbelievable price point. Masterfully crafted dishes reflecting the classical French training of the Thai chef. Each course was infused with Thai spices, making this place Thai-French fusion. A genius combination of flavor and precision. Attentive staff and good atmosphere. Requires a reservation. Highly recommendable.

We had an exquisite 4-course menu and wine pairing for lunch and were absolutely delighted. Each course was a standout on its own. Highly recommended - we'll be back!😊

Definitely a hidden gem in Alsace. Best food I had in a long time. I can highly recommend this restaurant. The service was terrifc and their wine & champagne selection is brilliant, too. I will be back for sure.

Surprisingly good. Delightful Thai added nice and mild flavor to the food without covering the taste of the ingredients. Very well made fusion cuisine.

Une expérience culinaire inoubliable! Le mariage harmonieux des saveurs thaïlandaises et alsaciennes est tout simplement magnifique. Le personnel est exceptionnellement accueillant et attentif. Un véritable délice pour les papilles et une ambiance chaleureuse. Hautement recommandé!

Leider ist es so, dass mich die geposteten Fotos von Speisen meistens davon abhalten ein Restaurant zu besuchen, selbst wenn es mit einem Michelin Stern bewertet ist. Die Fotos der Gäste sind oft derart schlecht, dass sie der Leistung und der Klasse des Restaurants nicht gerecht werden.
Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal in diesem von aussen unscheinbaren Restaurant in Altkirch und waren völlig begeistert von der Qualität und der perfekten Präsentation der Speisen. Jeder Teller ist ein kleines Kunstwerk und ein sinnliches Erlebnis.Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und äusserst sympathisch und der Sommelier ist alleine schon einen Besuch wert. Als Fan der österreichischen Weine und edlen Destillate hat mich zudem ein kleines Detail fasziniert: im abgelegenen Sundgau stosse ich auf eine Vitrine mit ausgesuchten Rochelt Digestifs aus dem Tirol! Wir verbrachten eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem bemerkenswerten Restaurant und werden uns natürlich so schnell wie möglich wieder verwöhnen lassen.

Mon époux et moi sommes venus dîner hier soir à l'occasion de la Saint-Valentin.
Le repas était tout simplement exceptionnel, nous avons passé un très bon moment.
Les saveurs et la diversité des plats étaient une découverte à chaque bouchée.
Le chef a réussi à magnifier chaque plat, tant sur le plan gustatif que sur le plan visuel, en utilisant des techniques dignes de la haute gastronomie française associées aux traditions culinaires thaïlandaises.
Ce concept est tout à fait innovant et surprenant par son audace.

Le service et le sommelier était en adéquation parfaite avec la qualité des mets proposés.

On perçoit clairement l'amour du travail bien fait et la passion d'un artiste exceptionnel.

Une magnifique découverte dans cet établissement au décor simple et chaleureux qui nous mets dans l'ambiance thaïlandaise.
2 menus au choix, 4 plats à 95€ et 6plats à 120€.
Cuisine très intéressante surtout au niveau des saveurs qui s'allient à la perfection. Le dressage parfait, les assaisonnements parfait également.
Le service est également au top, attention, soucieux et très aimable.
Cuisine à découvrir, seul petit "bémol" est le sol en bois/parquet qui est très bruyant surtout avec les talons des dames.

Un superbe déjeuner :
Nous allions de découverte en découverte, de l’amuse bouche au dessert. Les vins choisis étaient tout aussi originaux et intéressants que les mets. Quelle belle expérience! Une explosion de saveurs à chaque bouchée, un lieu très cosy et confortable, le service parfait sans trop de chichis tout en étant qualitatif et sympathique. Ce restaurant mérite amplement son étoile (après quelques déceptions d’autres étoilés en Alsace, nous sommes conquis !) Nous reviendrons très prochainement, ça c’est sûr. Merci à l’ensemble de l’équipe pour ce beau moment que nous avons passé grâce à vous ce midi :-)
