This is a great place to have lunch. We had the meat goulash and the salmon soup from "Soup & More". Delicious, and such a generous helping of meat.

It's quite a big place. There are toilets at one end of the market. It's quite a squeeze, but the facilities are good.

I would recommend this place.

The place is not a big actually you could finish walking the whole thing in 15 minutes. But if you are looking for food there surely are some nice options, just not cheap ones though. Most of them are salmon based crackers and sandwiches / toasts, some soups as well. You could sit comfortably and enjoy the food.

Beautifull traditional market with many Finn delicacies. Alot of Salmon, raw, cooked and in the traditional soup. Also not so common meats like bear or raindeer. There is also pastry and local cafes inside. Overall, its a great place to try local food and get some local vibes.

Well worth a visit! A few good places to eat and drink and not crowded at all. The salmon soup was amazing, and there’s also a lovely cafè in the middle. The caviar tasting is also interesting.

Definitely a place to visit. Wide opportunities to eat on site and buy home-made products. Very stylish and modern place, with its own charm. You can see and try Finnish products and most popular dishes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you visit Helsinki it's impossible to bypass this place. Market is full of local delicacies and drinks. I tried sautéed reindeer meat with potato, cranberry sauce, blue cheese, mushrooms and it was like heaven in my mouth. In addition, food prices are lower than in restaurants and the bonus is also unique atmosphere.

Such an atmospheric place, highly recommended! And it’s near the harbor too. I went to “Soup + more” for salmon soup and it was huge and very tasty with lots of salmon.

The old market is definitely a must. Plenty of permanent food vendors offer traditional foods such as salmon or reindeer soup. Highly recommend. Find a place, order, sit and enjoy.

Great historic market hall with lots of small cosy bistros, delis and delicacy shops. Can be very busy during summer season due to tourist groups being herded through here. Otherwise recommended!

Lovely place to have seafood. Went for the stall that is located all the way at the end of the left aisle. Stall run by Vietnamese ladies. Very friendly. The salmon soup is superb! Do remember to go there with an empty stomach so that you can eat other food there.

Another one of the wonderful market halls that grace the cities of Finland. Lots of fresh and cooked food, plenty for everyone to see. Some luxury goods but for the most part plenty of affordable options for eating and gifts alike. A no brainer to check out.

They say that's a market , where local people are offering their products. I saw stuff like bear meat in can, reindeer meat - dried and canned, something like beef jerky made of elk , all kind of fish cans among some other gourmet stuff. There are some tables and benches as well, so you can grab a plate and have a meal there

Excellent market with a great variety of goods. You can find some products made with truffles, local and imported cheeses, salami, pastries, candles, deer skin, and much more. Stop by a cafe and have a cup of coffee, have a nice meal, or enjoy a glass of local wine.

Very good traditional food. The kiosk we ate in was called The seafood bar Helsinki. We ordered the finnish salmon soup (10€), a salmon toast (5€) and fried vendace with fries (10€). You can´t eat here and not try the soup, the salmon from both the soup and the toast was very fresh. The portions were ok and the prices were fair considering it was one of the few places we found that had traditional dishes.

Amazing old market hall with everything a foodie could want.

Salmon and kaviar in any imaginable variant, the famous salmon soup, potato dishes, Greek and Turkish delights, truffles, pirukas, coffee shops, sweets.

Certainly a place any tourist should see when in Helsinki.

I chatted with a Ukrainian lady, and I tried truffle honey and black truffles at Nordic Caviar on brie bread (5,50). Truffles have a very unique, nut-like taste.

Lovely experience, and absolutely worth it- despite it being a lot of money for me (I will also cover it in my Helsinki vlog, so the expense could be justified).
