It's one of the best, challenging hiking I ever made. We take 4 days to reach to the pick. The weather was freezing. With all this challenges, it was the most enjoyable tour.

I had the perfect 5 days, camping was a bit hard due to the cold weather, but we're super grateful for the local drink Hareqe(vodka ), we survived. Harena forest and the peak of Tulu Dimtu Mountain are among my favourite destinations, within the whole park. I already planned on visiting the park with different friends soon, can't wait!!!!

A fascinating other worldly place, and probably the highest place you can reach by road outside the Himalaya and Andes (4300m) Many people come here to see the Ethiopian wolf, the worlds rarest canid and they are easy enough to spot on the Sanetti Plateau part of the park. Antelope too are easy to spot and get close to including the Mountain Nyala, another very rare species and birders will get a few ticks as well.

Bale Mountain National Park is a protected area located in the East Shewa region of Ethiopia. It covers an area of 3,067 square kilometers and was established as a national park in 1970 to protect its highland ecosystems and diverse wildlife populations. The park is home to several species which are classified as threatened or endangered by international conservation agencies, including African wild dogs, Ethiopian wolves, mountain nyala antelope, Menelik’s bushbuck, serval cats and klipspringers.

I trekked the 4 day trek in about two days with the help of our guide Armaye. We were short on time, but he was up for the challenge on guiding us at a faster pace. We had an awesome time and he was very knowledgeable about the area and was good at reading weather patterns. It was a tough two days and we were very sore, but we had a great time. Thanks Armaye!
