La Balsa

This hotel is wonderful. Everything they offer is outstanding!!
The most important thing that this hotel nailed is the service. They are welcoming, nice, pleasant etc. They offered to help us with anything - including restaurants, activities and more.
The location is great also. Furthermore, the rooms themselves are very clean and welcoming. The bathroom is big enough and clean. Please take note that they don’t offer shampoo/conditioner. You can hear a bit of noise from the other rooms- but they offer you earplugs( which is super rare!!!).

The breakfast was incredible. They where super generous. The host served us everything we needed and was very nice to us. The food itself was great(eggs, meat, bagget, spreads, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, cereal, fruit etc).
Overall I would extremely recommend this hotel. In my opinion it deserves way more than a 2 star hotel. You should definitely visit!

Emilio is an amazing host. Really kind and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and located in a strategic place close to totaling 4, where you can take the bus to the lakes of Covadonga. Amazing breakfast!

A family-run hotel with beautifully furnished rooms. The breakfast was a semi-buffet and was superb. The location is very good, close to both Cangas de Onís and the bus to go to Picos de Europa. Parking has never been a problem during our stay. The owner Emilio was very friendly and knew everything around the area. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a pleasant trip.

La Balsa is a wonderful, traditional Asturian, family run hotel near Cangas de Onís. Emilio is very hospitable and responsive and the rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped with confortable beds and clean bathrooms. The included breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of options in a buffet style with some things made to order. Having a car is recommended as public transport options, while they do exist nearby are infrequent and unreliable. All done and said, La Balsa is highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.

Un lugar precioso, muy buen desayuno y un trato personal exquisito. Para repetir sin lugar a dudas.

Hotel rural ubicado muy cerca de Cangas de Onís, en la carretera que sube al santuario y a los lagos de Covadonga. El desayuno espectacular, te ponen de todo, mención especial a los bizcochos caseros, increíbles todos los que probamos. Está junto al río en un entorno muy chulo, aunque está al lado de la carretera pero nosotros no escuchamos ni un ruido molesto. Mucha limpieza, tranquilidad y personal muy agradable. Sin duda para repetir.

Hotel encantador en una ubicación ideal, cerca de Covadonga y de pueblos encantadores. Tuve la sensación de estar en mi propia casa, el personal es súper amable y atento, Emilio e Isabel nos facilitaron todo desde la llegada. Leí mucho antes de ir que a la gente le encantaba el bizcocho casero y no se equivocaban, desayunos increíbles y un olor a bizcocho recién hecho cuando llegas por la noche para el desayuno del día siguiente. Sinceramente la experiencia fue inmejorable, el sonido del río en la ventana es un plus de relajación. Volvería a repetir 50 veces más, las habitaciones también son muy acogedoras y equipadas perfectamente.

La casa es impecable, la ubicación es ideal para ir a los Lagos, el desayuno está buenísimo, la habitación es muy cómoda y limpia, pero sobre todo, la atención es fenomenal. Se siente uno como en casa. Todo por un precio más que correcto. Vayan con los ojos cerrados.

Estuvimos en el hotel 4 noches. su ubicación es ideal para utilizarlo como "Campamento base" y conocer bien la zona.
El personal es de lo más atento y el desayuno es muy bueno... los bizcochos están deliciosos

Nos sentimos de maravilla, trato excelente, con desayuno incluido muy variado y rico, las instalaciones muy limpias, camas muy cómodas, almohadas de calidad y la habitación muy amplía y acogedora al igual que el baño (disponía incluso de toallitas desmaquillantes)

Muy cerca de Cangas de Onís ideal para las excursiones hacia los Picos de Europa y el descenso del Sella. Zona tranquila y bella. Emilio muy atento y amable en todo momento, nos facilitó la llegaday nos hizo sentir como en casa. Lo recomendamos al 100%

Quería esperar al final de mi viaje por el norte para escribir esta reseña. El hotel “la balsa” nos pareció impecable, desde la atención, limpieza, el trato de los dueños, todo.

El desayuno riquísimo, no se compara con ningún alojamiento de la misma categoría (y hemos estado en muchos). Huevos revueltos, tostadas (caseras), yogur, bizcocho casero (cada día uno diferente),frutas, y el café excelente. Hoy en día, que abundan los productos ultraprocesados, se valora mucho lo casero.
Muchas gracias, nos sentimos muy a gusto.
