Restaurante O Acivro

Restaurant is a class of its own.
Serves food with finesse and a fine-dining-like style. The waitress was attentive and served our food in courses to ensure that we enjoy each course on its own.

We ordered
1. 1 meal of the day 13euros
- garlic soup: hot refreshing without an overly pungent garlic taste, just the right amount
- seabream: cooked to perfection, seafood was very fresh. Even the potatoes drenched in olive oil were amazing.
- brownie: nothing great about this, was actually served cold, would have preferred to be heated up

2. Paella seafood and chicken 34 euros
- extremely large portion suitable for 3 hungry souls or even up to 4 small eaters.
- had an amazing char on the first layer of the paella which gave that extra flavour. Portion was generous with the seafood like mussels, prawns, scallops.

Only downside is that with this finesse quality comes with a bit of a finesse price.
Recommended for those who want to unwine and do fine dining during the camino walk.

After 3 weeks of walking this has been our best breakfast including eggs bacon and pancakes plus fresh squeezed OJ.
The menu of the day lunch was also one of our best.

Good place to unwind after a day on the Camino. Large open grass sitting area ideal for chatting and a large G&T. Peregrino dinners available, also good selection for breakfast, with a nice early start. Located along the Camino, so good for catching up with people.

Stopped in and ordered a deconstructed chorizo con queso and a kaz de naranja

Vegan options available. Their vegan salad on the menu is very very good and they were flexible to figure out a very good vegan dinner to me as I asked in advance. Nice surprise in the route.

Great paella! Stopped by on a whim, and we were very happy.

Enjoyed an excellent Menu del dia here in April 22. Wonderful service, great food quality, plentiful vino. Accommodated my vegetarian companion nicely. The breakfast is probably good based on the meal we had. Probably better then the restaurants in nearby O Pedrouzo.

Really good food, prices are not bad. Will come back if I return to Spain.

One of the best paellas we ever had. The "jefe" is very helpful and service oriented as well as generous. Delicious breakfast, Good food in the evening. Excellent service for us to take food into our room as well. And there is a very interesting story about the Acivro - the huge holly / ilex at the entrance of the place. We are looking forward to being guest here again.

Excellent fresh food (menu of the day plus a la carte). Staff are efficient and work hard. Very pleasant garden area to eat. Good value for money.

Lovely simple tasty lunch while walking the Camino to Santiago. They kindly let me just order a generous half of the menu del día. Perfecto.

Sin duda de los mejores menús del peregrino en el camino francés! Excelente calidad precio (1ero, 2ndo , pan, bebida y postre por 13€). La comida es muy buena, se nota que es casera y que la materia prima es de calidad. Recomiendo el caldo gallego (increíble), la merluza con salsa de langostinos y el flan.

Además es genial para celiacos, tienen pan sin gluten y la mayoría de la carta es apta:)

Der kulinarische Tempel vor Pedruzo.....
Auf unserem Camino kamen wir zufällig dort vorbei. Der Blick ins Innere vom Restaurant durch die große Fensterfront hat uns dazu eingeladen dort zu essen.
Das Menü des Tages kostet am Wochenende 20 Euro. Dieses Menü besteht aus drei Gängen, Wein, Wasser und Kaffee. Es ist sein Geld auf jeden Fall wert. Endlich einmal ein Teller mit frischem gebratenem Gemüse. Auf den Punkt gegart und super lecker. Die Portionen waren reichlich. Das Personal und der Chef waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft. Wir kommen wieder.

El templo culinario frente a Pedruzo...
Nos topamos con este lugar en nuestro camino. La vista del interior del restaurante a través del gran ventanal nos invitaba a comer allí.
El menú del día cuesta 20 euros el fin de semana. Este menú consta de tres platos, vino, agua y café. Definitivamente vale la pena el dinero. Por último un plato de verduras recién asadas. Cocinado a la perfección y super sabroso. Las raciones eran abundantes. El personal y el jefe fueron muy amables y atentos. Sabía fantástico. Gracias por la hospitalidad. Volveremos.

We happened upon this place on our camino. The view inside the restaurant through the large window front invited us to eat there.
The menu of the day costs 20 euros at the weekend. This menu consists of three courses, wine, water and coffee. It's definitely worth the money. Finally a plate of freshly roasted vegetables. Cooked to perfection and super tasty. The portions were plentiful. The staff and the boss were very friendly and attentive. It tasted fantastic. Thank you for the hospitality. We will be back.

Nous sommes tombés sur cet endroit sur notre camino. La vue à l'intérieur du restaurant par la grande baie vitrée nous invitait à y manger.
Le menu du jour coûte 20 euros le week-end. Ce menu se compose de trois plats, vin, eau et café. Ça vaut vraiment le coup. Enfin une assiette de légumes fraîchement rôtis. Cuit à la perfection et super savoureux. Les portions étaient copieuses. Le personnel et le patron étaient très sympathiques et attentionnés. C'était fantastique. Merci pour l'hospitalité. Nous serons de retour.

Riquisimo todo, lugar muy lindo con jardin, ideal para comer fuera si no les toca un dia de lluvia como nos tocó a nosotros. La carne la cocinas en la mesa y es una delicia!! Las ensaladas geniales tambien, nosotros optamos por la vegana. Super recomendado!
