This is without doubt one of the loveliest places on earth to spend you holiday. It has impressive mountain views, starry nights, cricket choirs, and most importantly; a wonderful crew giving you the most warm welcome! We loved staying with Fay and her friends and dogs ;-) and enjoyed her dinners, massages and tips to explore the region immensely.

We stayed at Wellness and Wilderness for two nights and had the most amazing and relaxing time there. The place is beautiful and intimate. We enjoyed Fay’s hospitality, the food was amazing, we did yoga and had a massage. We slept like babies and left the place so relaxed and ready for our continued journey. We would recommend you to visit anyday!

We have stayed at Wellness & Wilderness for a few nights on our way to Portugal from the Netherlands last summer. We have really enjoyed our stay, healthy vegan food was available to book. The off-grid style of living for a few days while being served nice delicious meals and a massage was the perfect combination! Great views, beautiful nature and beautiful people. Highly recommend to visit this very special spot in the middle of nature.

I stayed with Fay and Johnny for 3 weeks in August and it was a fantastic time, they really make you feel like one of the family. The site is remote enough to see the stars at night and really connect with nature, with a lot of great walks nearby, but also close enough to the nearest town to grab any essentials you need. On top of this, the standard of food was higher than many fancy city restaurants, regardless of your dietary needs. Would go back in a heartbeat!

We stayed with Fay and Johnny for a week in mid-August but wish it could have been longer! The site and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and from the from the moment we arrived we both felt so welcomed and relaxed. We were lucky enough to be staying at the same time as three other workaways, and it seems like we spent the whole week laughing! The actual work was interesting and not too strenuous, and we mostly worked in the garden with lots of free time to go down into the town and use the local pool or go exploring in the mountains. Fay’s cooking was incredible as well with lots of meals made using ingredients from the garden and we got to try lots of new things! The whole trip was such a good experience and we are so grateful to Fay and Johnny for making it that and for letting us come, we would definitely go again!

We had a fantastic time in Walter the Old English Gentleman, it was one of the highlights of the holiday. Faye and her partner were friendly and welcoming.
The location was great, up a track above the town, in a peaceful and tranquil meadow amongst the trees.
We will certainly be back if we are holidaying in the area.

Fay and Jonnys experience is one of a kind. This trip opened my eyes to a complete new way of living and I am so greatful for the time I spent here. I met some amazing people ate Fay’s unbelievable home cooked meals and shared travel experiences and stories with everyone who stayed here. I can’t recommend this experience enough and hope to return some time in the future myself!

We had the most amazing experience volunteering at the Wellness and Wilderness retreat, it really is the most serene, peaceful and magical setting amongst the Leonese mountains.
During our two week stay we spent our time gardening, building, restoring and crafting which was a hugely rewarding and enjoyable experience.
Wellness and Wilderness is the perfect off-grid immersion surrounded by beautiful pine forests with breathtaking views of the Northern Spainish mountains.
Fay is an incredibly generous and caring host and we cannot recommend Wellness and Wilderness enough!

The most beautiful place to spend a relaxing week, the land is dotted with different spaces were u can enjoy different views of the surrounding mountains. Only a short walk from a refreshing river and the village. We slept in a pretty caravan with sunrise views, only a short walk from the toilet. We did yoga classes led by the host, who is very friendly and laid back.

Love it here! The views are spectacular, and the tents/van are really cosy and have everything that you need, plus a special touch to if. Definitely the place to escape to. Just a short walk to the town, and plenty of walking trails around and even a really cold river! Fay is so lovely and accommodating which makes the stay even better. Would recommend to anyone!

We had a great time in this great place, watching the sunrise out of the cutest mobile home, called Walter. This was a place where you could feel Earth, listen to Silence for hours, watching the sun and the stars, the mountains, the butterflies. Thanks, Fay and Johnny!

Es el lugar perfecto para descansar y conectar con la naturaleza. Silencioso y con mucho espacio para tu privacidad.
También, para los que disfruten con el senderismo, con muchas rutas cercanas para elegir.
Ellos son gente muy agradable y con una manera ver y entender la vida, siempre respetando y cuidando el entorno, admirable.
Las clases con Fay las disfruté muchísimo y la comida además de sabrosa, saludable.

He ido tres veces y cada vez mejor que la anterior. Fay es una gran anfitriona, siempre con una sonrisa y dispuesta ayudar. El lugar tiene un encanto inexplicable, y es perfecto para perderse unos días en un paisaje idílico.

An wonderful wilderness camping experience. Fay and Jonny made us feel right at home. The vegan cuisine presented by Fay was awesome, and much appreciated as this region is a bit of desert for vegans. Not all of our party are vegan, but we all enjoyed the meals. My granddaughter tried things she's doesn't normally eat, so that was a plus. Fantastic sky at night. Lots of sunshine, unlike the coastal areas of NW Spain. We hope to go back sometime.
