Quedó totalmente abandonado en los años sesenta debido a la emigración. Luego llegaron «okupas» que rehabilitaron algunas casas, y se creó una Asociación de Amigos de Munilla, que arregló otras. Destaca la iglesia de San Vicente (del XVI) y una ermita (restaurada) en lo alto del pueblo. Está situado en el Valle del Cidacos, conocido como el Valle de los Dinosaurios por las numerosas huellas de estos animales.
