Restaurant Cuevas del Vino

This was my first visit to Chinchón. We travelled there by bus from Madrid, about a 50 minute drive from the city centre. As you enter the village you will find classical architecture in a beautiful setting. In the middle of this place is the restaurant Cuevas del Vino.

This place is historic and full of interesting things to see. Before we sat down to eat, we walked through the many rooms of the restaurant, all the way down to a small bar in a cave.

We went back up and had some classic dishes and wine served from a little bag made out of pig's skin. It was a great experience and definitely a place to add to your restaurant experience in central Spain.

Great ambiance and service with a smile. A must see if in Spain. Found a picture of Cantinflas there. He visited in 1979.

I love everything about this restaurant very unique and beautiful decor and great atmosphere, the food was really good, they have a bar in the caves our bartender was super attentive and helpful!!

We had a great time here ! Wonderful experience. Great food ! We particularly loved the cheeses, and the meat. We had the secreto meat dish .

We made a reservation here for Saturday lunch, this was actually our third choice but it came out amazing. Waiters really friendly and helpful. The food very good we did not take the menu but took from the cart see my pictures. It was all very nice. After the lunch we went to see the caves which is very nice and enjoyed the whole place a lot. Would recommended this a when your visiting Chinchon. I ordered at the end a chinchon anis which they didn't charge on the bill when I told them they said was from the house nice detail.

We didn't eat here. But can highly recommend you visit it. What an enjoyable experience.

Very historical and well preserved place. It is not a typical tourist restaurant or site.... this is a « bodega » from the XVIII century, extremely well preserved, that reflects how were the towns in Madrid. You will be transported in time.... the servers are dressed up also of that period. José Luis our server was very nice and friendly... and very important to visit the « Cuevas » caves with the big huge barrels... you will feel that time had stopped...

Excellent food and service plus ama,ing ambience. Huge wine vats, an olive press and the Cueves. Take the walk into the caves, its well worth it.

Great fascinating vino and olive oil production cultural location, very good rustic cooked meats and a friendly service.

First off, beautiful landscape and layout of the restaurant. Very Spanish vibes. You walk in and see these caves with huge vasos of vino idk what they’re called but it is such a vibe. The food is amazing, we got fried garlic, croquettas, and chicharrón which was to die for!! I want to go back and try the suckling pig

This is a wonderful place to eat. Really good traditional Spanish cooking. And reasonably priced. The staff were very kind and attentive. The restaurant itself is very beautiful. Be sure to visit the wine cellar cave.

Loved it ! Part museum, part winery, definitely part restaurant. Authentic Spanish food in a fantastic setting. The 2 favorite dishes where the Conchonillo ? ( baby pig ) and the Cordoba, (lamb). Focus of course also on the wine.

Really nice price, great food (typical pf the area, stick to the meat dishes) for a fair price! Visit the caves! Recommended!

Marvellous place and taste Spanish food!!! Chinchon is a beautiful village!

A fascinating place if you ever find yourself in Chinchon! They literally do a house-wine on-site in which you could literally still taste the grapes and the cellars and celebrity autographs add to the charm of the place!
