Amazing village in the mountains so you'll need a car most definitely. The accommodation was fantastic and would be great for families. Be aware it's situated on a hill so not suitable if you have difficulty walking. A great restaurant up the hill, with parking in the car park just below, near a children's play area. We had the 3 double bedroomed apartment and 2 bathrooms all on the same level. It was clean, comfortable and well sticked, especially in the kitchen. Big American style fridge, range cooker and washing machine. Wood burner in the lounge Area , although we didn't need it as it was in the high 30"s. We had our own private pool - small but did the job. No shallow end if you have children or steps. Great for cooling off though. The lady from the hotel that showed us around was really nice and helpful. A couple of supermarkets up the hill for basics. Water, bread, cheese etc. No fresh milk only uht. Lidl in velez malaga - do a shop before you drive up. Just down the hill over the bridge and on the left is a shop that sells most things - - nic named arkwrightts!

Bien equipada, varias casas con aparcamiento privado y todo tipo de accesorios. Apropiada para grandes grupos. Buenas vistas en la planta superior.

Magnífico lugar. La casa fantástica así como la piscina. Ideal para pasar unos días en familia. Bien equipado. Totalmente aconsejable.

Las vacaciones familiares han sido muy agradables. Piscina excepcional con tumbonas y colchonetas cómodas. Los dueños muy atentos. Sin duda repetiremos.

Sitio absolutamente perfecto para una escapada. Una de las casas era la antigua almazara... alucinante. Equilibrio perfecto entre lo tradicional y las comodidades modernas.

PD: no olvidéis llevar estropajo y lavavajillas ;)

Casa perfecta para ir de vacaciones, vistas súper bonitas y la piscina está genial, alfonso siempre atento para lo que necesites y la gente del pueblo súper agradable el restaurante la parra genial y la tienda de reme muy bien

Un entorno espectacular, la atención de Alfonso muy correcta. Camas cómodas y lo mejor es la piscina. Totalmente recomendable la atención de la tienda de Reme.

About Alcaucín
Town in Spain

Alcaucin is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. It borders with the province of Granada. The municipality is situated approximately 54 kilometers to the city of Málaga. It is 507 km from the capital of Madrid. The name was derived from al-kautín, the Arabic of "the arches." It has a population of approximately 1,600 residents, partly living in the hamlet of Puente Don Manuel. Natives of the town are called Alcaucineños and have the nickname of tiznaos. source
